Buick Ownership
2018 Regal TourX
Hi there !

So I bought brand new Wheels and Tires Setup for my 2018 TourX.

Tires are 235/50/18 Pirelli P Zero and Touren TR60 Wheels 18x8, 5x115 , 40 mm. I guess wheels are exactly the same dimensions as the OEM.

For those who knows more about the topic than I do, I have 3 questions...

Q1. I know that for aftermarket wheels I need some special lug nuts, but every website matches the car with two sizes of lugs and I don't know which one I should get?

- 12x1.5 or 14x1.5 ( Spline, Coanical Seat 60 degree) ??

Q2. I have also read that I will need the hubcentric rings to avoid issues with balance and possible steering wheel vibrations after all. From what I understand, TourX has a center bore of 70.2 mm and Touren wheels have hub bore of 72.62 mm. So the rings that I will get should be adjusting from 72.62 to vehicle hub of 70.2 mm right?? If I'm wrong, please correct me, I am completely green and just started to learn these things...

Q3. What else do I need (except those listed above) to install the wheels?? The guy at STS Tire told me, I will need to find some custom wheel shop with "No Touch" machine to change it, so if anybody from NJ area knows good shop to install aftermarket wheels, I will really appreciate all inputs.

Thanks a lot!!

Did you look at the Touren site for installers and lug nuts?
Your vehicle has M12x1.5 wheel studs.
Did STS sell you the tires and they wont mount them?

They said, Touren wheels are mounted with a different machine which they don't have.. I bought tires at Walmart.

match the seat to the wheel and thread pitch to the car. My sources say 14x1.5mm. Most aftermarket wheels are just like our OE conical taper. Honda’s use a ball seat, probably others. Pick the fastener to match the tool you want to remove it with, factory is a 19mm socket.

Unless you plan on transferring your TPMS you may want to get a new set for your new tires and wheels as it's not mentioned what is happening with the old set of tires and wheels.

This site shows the 12x1.5, maybe would be best for OP to measure them.

Earlier this week I bought a set of 12x5 spline lugs, Hubcentric rings for Buick (72.62mm to 70.3mm) and set of new stock TPMS Sensors. I'm waiting for a delivery this or next week. I have both new tires and wheels and OEM set will keep for winter. I will let you guys know if everything fits once I put it on!
