I understand the recommended winter tire size is 215/60/16 OR 225/55/16 (according to tire rack).

I found a really good deal on slightly used four winter 225/60/16 tires on craigslist. Will they fit? They seem to be only a bit taller and wider than the 215s.

Comparing the 215/60/16 to 225/60/16:

Comparing the stock 235/45/18 to 225/60/16:

So, the 225/60/16, compared with the stock 235/45/18, seem to be a bit narrower and only .3" taller.
So I am guessing they will fit? Besides the speedo being off by a tiny bit there doesnt seem to be any other issues?

Hi Hulk,
Was wondering if you ended up getting tires and if everything worked out last winter? I have a 2013 Buick Verano and am seriously thinking about getting snow tires for the upcoming season. I'm trying to find some slightly used versus buying new. I had heard you can place more than one size on this vehicle but not sure how that works.
Thanks,
Dave

I have Nokian Hakkapallita 8's, studded snows, in 235/45-18 on order for ours, should be here in about 2 weeks +/- a week.
