From what I've heard and read, yes they are worth it. Make sure you take them off once the inclement winter weather is over because the rubber is soft and will wear faster in warm climate.

Absolutely worth it. Disregard when someone tells you that “all season tires are fine, I drive everywhere.” Night and day difference. Drawbacks are louder and mpg suffers. Big deal ….. 4 months a year.

Yes, yes, yes. I first had them on a MINI, totally changed my winter driving. Installed a set on my LaCrosse last month. They're really great winter tires.
