What’s In Store For Buick In 2017

The all-new 2017 Buick LaCrosse arrives this year as Buick’s design and technology flagship.

Buick Growth Outpacing All Major International Brands

The Encore, Cascada convertible, Envision compact SUV and LaCrosse are rounding off a list of pure excellence for 2017. Nationally and Internationally, Buick is taking the car industry by storm with top sales, excellent designs and leading technology.

The summer of 2016 has shown enormous growth and sales for Buick, selling more than 200,000 vehicles Internationally. They’ve shown unprecedented sales of 675,964 throughout the month of June alone. They ended the first half of 2016 20.1% over the same period of time in 2015.

This year has been such an exciting moment for Buick by taking the position as the fifth largest passenger vehicle in China, surpassing Acura, Lincoln, and Infiniti throughout North America.

While the 2017 Encore has been chosen the number one pick in small SUVs in the U.S., its growth has soared on the International market, surpassing sales well over a half-million since it came on the scene three years ago. Encore has contributed to more than one-third of all of Buick’s sales and rising to 34% within the first two months of 2016.

Along with the Envision compact SUV and LaCrosse, the 2017 Encore will be flying out of the dealerships’ doors both nationally and internationally very quickly!

Buick’s top selling Envision luxury crossover ended it’s first month of sales in the U.S. with 1,436 deliveries while only offering limited availability. With the launching of the 2017 model in the fall, Envision will have a price range starting at $34,990. Envision has rapidly become the best selling model internationally, followed by Encore and LaCrosse.

Buick’s brand new LaCrosse flagship sedan is about to land in showrooms any time now. This gorgeously designed 2017 luxury sedan will launch globally in the second half of this year. Buick will be showcasing its unique design and technological advancements and (take note) more than 950,000 customers world-wide have chosen the LaCrosse as their number one vehicle choice since 2009.

Buick’s international luxury vehicles feature sculpted designing, precision technology, superior interiors and superb performance. Buick is continually attracting new customers on a daily basis both in North America and China.

Buick is looking toward 2017 with a great deal of excitement and enthusiasm as their superior line of vehicles continue to outsell their competitors. This is the best time for new customers to start taking a closer look at their new line of outstanding SUVs and cars. With the launch of the Cascada convertible in the United States and the Excelle GT, which has become the number one choice throughout China, there is no stopping Buick. The Cascada is being offered at a much lower starting price than the Audi A3 convertible while offering the same power and space available in the Audi A5 convertible. Adding to that, the Cascada is outselling both of these vehicles, combined, just in the first half of this year.

Some of Buick’s models are already launching while others will hit the scene this fall. There’s a great deal in store for customers with this line of excellence. With innovative technology, beautiful designs and strong attention to comfort; consumers both nationally and internationally will be grabbing up these cars very quickly!

Previewed: The All-New 2017 Buick LaCrosse

Expressive, Avenir-inspired design cues introduce the new face of Buick

DETROIT – 09.22.2015 – Buick today confirmed the all-new 2017 LaCrosse, with a preview of its Avenir concept-inspired design cues.

A striking evolution from current Buick models, LaCrosse features a grille design that puts a new face on the brand, including a new, three-color tri-shield insignia set on a wing-shaped element. Contrasting with darkened waterfall grille bars and spanning the width of the opening, it connects the grille and headlamps, and emphasizes LaCrosse’s new sculptural surfacing.

The design was introduced on the Avenir concept and was inspired by the 1954 Wildcat II concept. It’s a face all Buick models will adopt by 2018.

“The Avenir concept shattered expectations of what a Buick could be and the 2017 LaCrosse promises to do the same,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick. “Its expressive design represents a break from convention and highlights the progressiveness in all new Buick models.”

The next-generation LaCrosse’s design is framed on an all-new chassis that is stronger yet lighter than the current model and serves as the foundation for a more dynamic driving experience. New technologies such as a five-link rear suspension contribute to a more responsive ride, while taking Buick’s signature quietness to a new threshold – and it’s a premium feature not found on many other full-size luxury models, including the Lexus ES.

The 2017 Buick LaCrosse debuts in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

FAST FACT: Buick’s tri-shield logo is rooted in company founder David Dunbar Buick’s Scottish family crest.

Storm Watch: Buick Makes Getting Around Bearable

2016 Buick Enclave Tuscan Edition

DETROIT – 08.28.2015 – As Tropical Storm Erika makes its way toward the Southeast, residents of Florida and the Carolinas are preparing for the storm to make landfall. While vehicle technologies can neither prevent flooding nor restore electricity, Buick confidently forecasts they’ll help make getting around more bearable:

All-wheel drive (AWD): Vehicle control is everything in wet conditions. The beauty of all-wheel drive – available on the Buick Regal, LaCrosse, Encore and Enclave – is it automatically senses when there is a loss of traction and sends power to the wheels that need it. The driver does nothing.

However, as smart as AWD is, it’s no substitute for common sense and adhering to local emergency laws. This includes avoiding standing water. According to the National Weather Service, two feet of rushing water can carry away most vehicles including SUVs and pick-ups.

StabiliTrak: Electronic stability control has been proven to be one of the most effective safety innovations since safety belts and air bags. Buick’s standard StabiliTrak system helps drivers control their vehicle on wet pavement and uneven road surfaces.

StabiliTrak works by recognizing when the vehicle is in an understeer (fishtail) or oversteer (plow) mode. Sensors detect the difference between the direction the driver is actually turning and the vehicle’s response by “reading” the steering wheel position, the amount of sideways force, vehicle speed and how the vehicle is turning.

If necessary, the system automatically applies precise amounts of brake pressure at individual wheels and reduces engine torque to help safely put the vehicle on its intended path.

IntelliLink and available OnStar 4G LTE: The only thing worse than a hurricane is being isolated in one. Buick’s IntelliLink infotainment system pairs with owners’ mobile phones to provide safe, voice-activated connectivity. That means they can keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel in the event of trouble.

IntelliLink builds on the safety and security of OnStar, which enables subscribers to access emergency services through the push of a button. OnStar advisors are emergency trained and have access to up-to-date information that can help guide drivers to safety or get help to stranded customers. If you’re caught on the road during a flash flood watch or warning, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recommends drivers stop and seek higher ground immediately.

Available OnStar 4G LTE in the 2015 LaCrosse, Regal, Verano and Encore provides additional connectivity, including a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot that can be used as a mobile hub to keep in touch with friends and family during a power outage. OnStar 4G LTE can connect up to seven devices through a simple, seamless high-speed connection with a powerful antenna.
