Gear shift shortener

make sure you guys ordering from BNR are checking to make sure you're buying the right one .. the one pictured on their website for the "GS" is not what my 13' GS has .. my car has the older one .. just give a glance under your engine before making a possible headache for yourself lol

Thnak for the warning. I noticed that the picture on BNR did not match the picture on the M-Tech website. I assume they just used a picture they already had (from the F-32.) I'll double check when it comes in. Is this what yours looks like? http://www.mathijssentechnics.nl/indexx.php?View=page&part_id=170085&hid=1212&lhid=&lvid=&mid=86

funny thing is I don't even see the one I ordered on their website anymore .. maybe I'm wrong and they went to a different model .. I'll probably end up buying this websites too just to compare I guess .. worth the money to be honest .. maybe this is just a newer version .. lucky me I never got around to actually installing the one I bought yet ..🙄

There's only one option on their site, and it's listed as the MTech-F40. Regardless of the picture, that is the correct model number. If they ship an M32 that's their fault.

i think i need this in my life.
BNR- are they in stock and can a moron like me tackle this job?

If you got a drill you're good to go. When looking under the hood you remove your computer and battery, they are connected to each other. Your stock shifter is right there when the battery/computer are removed. You drill a small hole through a thin, round piece of metal in the center of the stock shifter that covers the nut holding down the stock shifter mechanism. You then use a pair of pliers or any tool that will fit in the hole you drilled to pop the thin piece of metal off. Undo the nut and the two pieces of linkage and take the stock shifter off. Put the new shifter on in the reverse order. It will only go on one way because there is a notch on the part of the shifter that mounts to the top of the tranny. There is also a new plastic cap that goes over the spot where the piece of metal was so no debris gets in there.

I do have them in stock but they're selling out fast. Maybe 1-2 left in stock. I order them from M-Tech directly and they're in the Netherlands so it takes a while to get them and I don't want to order a bunch if they aren't going to sell. So once we get this batch out there and we know they work well, I'll order a bunch.

Not yet but a few have ordered and they'll be going out tomorrow.

It's a different part we just didn't have an updated picture. Ill get the updated one up today

when exactly is the updated picture going up ? looks to be the same picture .. just curious if the model I bought directly from the supplier had an upgrade of if I'm good to go with this

Ill get it up there in a few hours I haven't had a chance to go take a picture of the ones I have in stock yet

Here is a picture of my stock shifter. My GS is a 2013 and I looked at a GM technicians 2012 and there is no difference. The tech said there were no changes with the Regal GS transmissions since it came out. That being said, I know some members cars were built in Europe and some in Canada IIRC. So I'm not sure if that is a factor either?

same one I have .. curious what their picture on the website will look like .. I bought the one directly from Mtech and it's just sitting there waiting to be put in until I figure out if they stopped making it or if they upgraded the one I bought

I didn't change it yet because I'm waiting on a good picture from someone rather than opening one of you guys shifters to take a picture. Here's what I took for now of one in the package View attachment 4041

Just got word back from mtech that the shifter was indeed updated .. they offered for me to send mine back and them to send me the upgrade for free which is really good business but shipping to their country might not be worth it .. the new unit looks much nicer too .. glad I never installed this yet lol

That is pretty cool that they are willing to swap it out for a new one, but I'm sure the shipping will kill that idea.
