It's official, FMIC and full plumbing will be started next monday. I have actually found several ppl that have done FMIC's on our regals btw... one was from this website with a CXL

I bought the car because of the beautiful styling, the rarity, and the fact that it really makes a statement. It handles insanely well, and it's quick.

Would I rather it was RWD? Obviously. Does the wheel hop piss me off? Yep. But I'm not going to shell out thousands to try to make the car what I know it isn't.

If I wanted a punch-you-in-face fast car for 35k, I would have an SS Camaro 1LE. That thing humiliates an M5/6. Alas, I have different priorities (for now).

I'll put money on it that u park a "punch u in the face fast Camaro" next to mine at a car show, bitches be flockin to the beerick.

Rears are painted 2 stage red/silver like the gtos.... I really couldn't imagine stopping any faster, lol.

First, I'm not "shitting" in anything. I simply stated my opinion, like a dozen other posts here pointing out the limits of FWD. You didn't bitch about those, yet for some reason did mine? I'm glad you're upgrading the car, I think it's badass, I was just pointing out what I thought were the better qualities of the car for those of us that will never be able to take on that level of modification.

Also, exactly how are you $10k under a new SS? A new SS 1LE is 35k MSRP, so i'm not sure how that's remotely possible. It's also a four and a half second car, and raped the M cars around the track, so I'm not sure how you don't think that's fast. I was just using the $35k number since that's probably the average price of a new GS, which most people around here seem to have. If you're buying a brand new car for 35k, I don't know how you could do much better performance-wise than the SS 1LE. It's that or the STI. I don't know why this upsets you so much.

I do believe Mr. Kranz enjoys the sleeper aspect of the project and I enjoy seeing the progress. thanks for posting updates and being a guinea pig for new ideas.

i didnt buy new... Im not upset or butt-hurt, I just dont know why you find it necessary to chime in on my thread about how you wouldn't spend money on modding this car because it will never be that type of car. It isn't your cash, nor your car so IDK why you would even waste your time explaining what you wouldn't do. This thread was created so I can share my experience and offer help if there are people that want to go this route. Mod for mod on a n/a v8, ive spent a third less and gained twice as much HP, but that's irrelevant. As you can tell i am really not impressed with the camaro ss, it really does not seem like a stout car stock. Why even compare an STI, thats a whole nother' ballgame. We already discussed the limitations of front wheel drive, but it seems to be a gray area. Really, i can hook just as good with a nice set of radials on the regal, as i can my GTO or my TBSS before i sold it. Anythings possible until you start breakin the 8 second mark with FWD.... but i really don't care about all that.

A 2012 Mustabg Boss 302 kills the 1le. A 2012 Boss with a Kenne Bell Blower shits on the 1le with 785rwhp or 930 crank if you are counting. Who cares?? Not me as i owned The said Boss above. I LOVE what Kranz is doing to his regal. I was tortured daily on the forums for supercharging the "almighty Boss" who cares? It was fun!!

And I could buy a $10K LS1 Fbody and spend $10K in mods and demolish your 1LE on the strip, the track, or the street for half the price. What's the point in having a $/hp pissing contest here? Let the guy enjoy his car. It's not like he's trying to build a single digit Chevy Spark. People have gone far more radical with the LNF then what he's doing.
