Removing turbo

Anyone know anything about the automatic tranny? I think its from saab but is it good? I get nervous with mine
 
Car is done

They rigged up a front mount intercooler and picked up 20hp not even red lining it, he believes with a fmic n plumbing it will be 30-40hp gain over stock... Putting me right around 410whp. Still want to save n pay cash, so i might wait a couple more weeks, but it will get done, and hopefully look pretty nasty.
 
Obviously ive kept up with this whole turbo swap since day one , but now a intercooler??? U gotta post some pics

Is the intercooler a custom one for you or is that one that eventually will hit the Gs market? - 410whp thats bmw m5 territory holy shit lol

He emailed me saying just a rigged up cooler, made 415 whp
I dint think he ifs keeping it, but in two weeks he's sending off a cooler to fit our regals specifically, i have two other quotes from shops, so well see what he says for the complete plumbing.

This is on a mustang dyno as well right? So on a dyno jet you'd be around 430-440whp? Also cooler weather would help too, might even see 450 on a normal dyno! Interested to see what this car looks like with a front mount.

I picked it up today.

Few things- The surge was tuned out and this thing straight hauls ass with no hiccups. HPTuners has a blip in there software with our regals, Tim emailed them and is waiting for a response with a possible update. The boost file will NOT let us boost past max stock psi - 24.5lbs. With this being said my turbo is at 24.5 lbs, so by the time it hits the stock intercooler it looses a tad over 4lbs and the motor sees roughly 20lbs dyno'd@ 376whp.
So, this means that with the cooler they rigged up, i flowed exactly 24.5 lbs and dynod 415whp at the same boost. Its crazy to think how much boost is lost and heatsoak occurs with a stock cooler.
I am going to get some parts this week, ie cooler hoses clamps etc. However, I need an oil change, new tires and a few other things, so i'm going to hold off on the install until the end of this month.


Now for my first kill story-cool story bro, i know.
On my way home from zzp I had an older guy in an official indy 500 pacecar camaro ss next to me. Had my window down and he looked and smiled-not in a gay way, lol. At this point i was doing 70, downshifted to third and he mashed it pulling about a car length. When i hit max boost i started catching him, which i dont think either of us were expecting. I pulled on him by about a car-when i looked down i was at 115. He gave the thumbs up, and pretty sure he took a video of us rolling together.

actually, once we get plumbing and HPTuners squared away, 450 all day is quite common as a daily driver on our motors. Plus our trans is built stronger than the cobalts 5 spd.

yeah, it was on a MD... I cant wait to see a front mount with no grill. I think im going to have my GF stencil out a GS logo, and paint everything else black around it... should look sharp.
Better get some street legal drag radials to put that much power to the ground. Holy cow!!!
yeah, idk what size 17's will fit, but i need to get on that. it spins balls until about 60

Awesome results! Nice kill! So you currently don't have the FMIC on? Wonder when ZZP will come out with that. What boost levels should you be at if the Hptuners allowed it? Wonder what stock internals can take. Can't wait for videos.
 
Were going to leave it at 28 once we can raise it... I'm happy with 24 but im shooting for 450. Probably will be October before its released
