May go for a Chevy SS myself in another year or two, forced 4s are OK but it's too easy to make power with the 8s and there's not that much of a gas mileage tradeoff. Plus they sound a lot better 😉

May consider a used CTS V-Sport though, or an ATS-V (but that's probably pushing my willingness to spend money).

It can be frustrating for sure but honestly I love my regal. the things that went wrong were expected to go wrong, it was trial and error. A rod broke at 400hp. Couple broke trans due to being the first one with a clutch combo. Not trying to defend it... spending money sucks but it's the price you pay to play. How many times do people tlcompliment your car or do a double take? Way more than any s4 or tbss from my experience. If I wanted an easy car to mod I'd buy a mustang like every other tool.

I hate them but there reliability is always consistent .. thing would be a rocket on a 125 lol

I completely agree tell u the truth , the amount of compliments the Buick gets is crazy or head turns .. the reason I want the S4 is because its cheap compared to the GS.. plus the buick with the 20s in NJ with huge potholes for one , than the snow and plowing of streets.. than the body kit with that weather and its FWD , tires alone cost me 375 each and I had 5 flats since fall lol
S4 atleast has the awd and serves a practical purpose for me with a ton of fun and a cheap price

Don't you have to replace all 4 tires if you get a flat with AWD so they're the same circumference? Sounds more expensive.

Just wanted to update this thread as I've been bouncing all over the place with my build. It has been at ZZP since December due to a smoking issue, overboosting at times, fuel cut off and an otherwise poor performance.

ZZP found that my PCV valve was trashed, which has been like that for who knows how long. A couple other things were fixed on the car as well. If I remember correctly before the car blew up it made around 410whp. I rebuilt the motor with wisecos and carrillo rods, external balancer etc. Re dyno'd the car and it made 382whp (went with lower compression pistons). So ZZP changed the PCV valve (mind you I'm on E70) and redyno'd the car. It's making 447whp. So I saved some money and am definitely happy with the 60 HP gain. Going to pick it up Wednesday. I will save some money this summer and do a fifth injector set up and a 7163 next fall so we will be around 500 to the wheel. Want to test reliability at the 450 mark first.

Would never recommend the V8 S4, close friend runs a European repair shop and hates them. Nothing but troubles. I actually saw one he had apart and was doing the chains on - apparently BTW they are at the rear of the engine??? WTF. He does own and love the 2.7TT S4 that preceded it though.
