Saw my first TourX in the wild today.

I saw the first one on the road Friday (parked, actually), and picked up mine (2018 in blue) at the dealer on Saturday. Upstate New York.

How are you guys liking them? I saw them at the Chicago auto show this year and practically fell in love with what I saw. Been meaning to go take a test drive, too.

I love mine. I took a long time to decide since I was looking to buy a wagon for almost 2 years. I looked at the BMW X2 and the 3 series wagon, Volvo V60, used Caddy CTS wagon, VW Arteon (the Outback and other VW models did not catch my eye). I disagree with the reviews about the interior, I went to check out a BMW X2 and that car has hard plastic the way my old xB did, very cheap looking inside, yet most reviews praise it even though the TourX is miles better (and somehow gets dinged for it). Seeing that the X2 was over $48k with the same options as the TourX (and cheaper feeling, loud cabin, etc) that one was out. 3 Series with any options means I'm paying a premium for a badge (and I've never been that type of person), since the TourX matches and beats it on many specs. I also considered the 2019 V60 since I read it was going to be $600 for the subscription package, now it looks like it will be $750 a month, not worth it in my book. The TourX is quiet, fun to drive, tons of space, I get a lot of stares from people.

I just bought mine a couple of weeks ago and I am loving it. The car does look sporty especially in black which I got.

The interior is very well done, even against other German manufacturers as @milicz states as unless you get the options for the up level interiors on those cars, you still get soft touch plastic. I even like the plastic patterned pieces in the console even though it is not wood. The drive train is very nice, I just came from a v8 car with 305hp and 320ftlbs and I don't even notice the different since much as the turbo has great torque. Have to say, Opel did a good job.

Since Buick just had the financing deal with $5200 on the hood from GM Financial. It was pretty good after getting the dealer down under invoice first then applying the GM financial plus costco gives you another $500 towards the car.

So far, so good with mine. I replaced a beloved 2002 BMW 525iT Sport Wagon which despite its low mileage just had too many little glitches and faults to keep. You can't beat the practicality - handles like a German sedan, smooth drivetrain and good looks. I had the windows tinted to try and beat some of the SoCal heat. The grey ("Smoked Pearl") finish and window tint are attractive, just short of bad-ass. I can't say I'm emotionally attached to it yet, but maybe that will come with time. The good thing is I waited out the SUV craze and replaced my wagon with a wagon.

There are criticisms of the transmission ("slow") and the interior, but I am more than satisfied with the value. If I wanted to spend the extra money on a more 'luxury' marque, I would have. Personally, the performance of the turbo 4 is virtually indistinguishable from the old Bimmer, and the TourX interior is comfortable and easy on the eyes. Loved the ride on our first long road trip!

Yeah like mine alot, really impressed with vehicle performance on trips. Long wheelbase helps suck up bumps and putting 255 45 ZR 18's ultra high performance all season General tires on it, made it handle and ride even better. Have only had it up to 125mph but was rock solid at that speed, and appeared to get great mileage at speed. MSRP was about $36K and got out the door for about $27k. Got only one in area that had shale interior, and was not loaded....preferred trim with sight and sound package. Has become my daily driver. Planning on sheapskin seat covers and tune when available, to remove 155mph speed limiter and few more horses.

Thanks Rhertic
Swapping out turbo is a bit much, would like to keep warranty.
Thinking of just a hand held tuner to remove speed limiter.

Just curious, but where are you driving 125+ MPH? Do you track a lot?

Nevada has wide open spaces, of course it would never be smart to admit you broke the law. No ...on track time recently.

Today at approx. 3:00 PM I saw a maroonish TourX exiting I 93 onto I 89 in Bow, NH. This is the first TourX that I've seen on the road since I bought mine in May. Might it have been anyone on this forum? PS. It really looked sharp.

The only Tourx I've seen in person is my wife's. I had my first live sighting of a Tourx when I drove into the dealer to pick up the car I bought two days earlier.

Thought I saw a Bob-Tail Wildcat Version..

Maroon-ish? Probably Roja Red. If there's anything I love it is actual color on a vehicle. I'm going to try to avoid buying black, white, silver, or gray cars for the rest of my life. I've had enough of lack of color.

I just checked the brochure and sure enough, Roja Red. Thanks.

Caught me this RIOJA RED one, with added bonus out of state Iowa Plate, exiting the Indiana Dunes yesterday.

Meanwhile, while I wait for Sal ( this Forum's Chief ) to get his Infiniti Owner's Site up to full speed where members there can post Pics and such...

Caught my own MALBEC BLACK mini wagon glistening in the Sun the day before....
