USB Port stopped working

I am having the same problem. My USB worked For almost two years and stopped working. Why isn’t Buick giving a solution? I believe if there was a solution they would let us know. Have any of you figured how to fix it?
 
Same problem in my 2017 Buick Encore purchased brand new in April 2018. About 5 months out one day the entire dash displays (4.5” information center and 8” Intellilink screen as well all other dash components) went berserk and went out, then flickered back on. Since then it frequently intermittently loses all recognition of the USB ports which is seriously bad when I’m using Apple CarPlay for GPS and all my music is playing from a thumb drive. Sometimes shutting down the entire vehicle and powering off then restarting the car brings it back. Taking it in to have it checked this week but if Buick is not providing any answers and a fix there will be a lot of customers that will be leaving the brand and passing along the word.
 
Googled and found a Technical Service Bulletin about the problem -
"Some customers may comment that one of the USB ports is not charing, allowing data to transfer, etc." (see below)

Hello Brandon, I am experiencing the same problem with my 2012 Buick Regal. Is there a fix to solve the USB issue?

When mine acted up I took it to the dealership along with a copy of the TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) I posted previously in this thread and they followed the TSB troubleshooting instructions and replaced the USB ports module under warranty. It’s been better ever since. I noticed the replacement ports they used are much tighter than the ones that shipped new with the vehicle.

Hi there,

myUSB in my 2018 Buick Enclave is no longer working/ able to connect to Apple CarPlay. Is there an immediate first try? The otherUSB ports in the car work. Please advise.

I'm having the same issue in my 2018 Buick Encore as well.
It's very frustrating that the port stops working. It's going to cause people to get into accidents because we are constantly fidgeting with it to work while driving.
It's super frustrating that the port stops working while using the gps as well.

What's the resolution. Will you be fixing this ongoing issue?

Hello,

I have the Buick Encore 2018 and I usually use the USB port to connect CarPlay. Six months later after the purchase, both USB port stopped working. I have tried several other cables, and even a different iPhone, updated my iOS but it never worked.
I may have the same problem. Did you get any answers?

My USB works fine for data transfer. I can play music from my phone, iPod or flash drive but it won't charge my phone. I've tried a couple of different cables to no avail. I've taken to carrying a battery pack in the cup holder to charge my phone. Kind of a pain but it works.
 
Hi. My 2019 Encore. The usb cable stop syncing. So what should I do.
I’ve been successful by disconnecting the negative battery cable for 10 seconds and reconnecting it. Usually the ports will reboot but you’ll lost time and a few other settings. Inconvenient but it may help.

Yes, what’s the answer? I have a 2018 Enclave and my USB ports have quit working too. I purchased this car right at a year ago. About to go on a trip and really need these to work!
I also have a 2019 buick enclave and when I plug it in the vehicle doesn't recognize it. The flash drive is set to mp3 and formatted to fat 32 like the manual suggest. HELP!

Hi, I'm looking for a similar solution to my USB problem. It's been wonderful on my 2012 Buick Regal until last night. I put the flashdrive in, and on the drive is a red blinking light which usually stays blinking during playback. But now, It blinks a few times which tells me there is electrical power, but my Intellilink does not recognize it. The app is gray whereas the radio, CD, etc are in color. I tried troubleshooting no no avail. I tried disconnecting the battery for a few minutes with no success. I'm desparate for my extensive collection of tunes to play in my Regal. Any thoughts?
 
My 2021 Buick encore gx car play will not start when cranking my car, I have iPhone 12 .tried turning car off also turning phone off .why is this happen some times ?
