Saw my first TourX in the wild today.

It's impressive how Volvo's 'high off roading wagon' still manages to look so long and mean

Their wagons in general have come a long way from the old 240's (design-wise) 🙂

EDIT: on closer inspection, looks like it's the non-cross country (uncladded) V90.

Yes the picture was a non Cross Country, but yesterday I actually saw a Cross Country in the wild. Part of me wants to find an old Volvo 850 with a stick shift as they existed, but are probably very rare.

Spotted a white TourX or Sportback driving the opposite way on Route 56 in Ogle Township, PA in the pitch black last night, so I was only able to identify it by the headlights 😛

I grabbed this screen shot a while ago from a local print shop, but I can say I finally got to see this TourX in the wild in Bridgeville, PA on Saturday morning. I love the hearse theme, it's so fitting.

I owned a green 740 Turbo wagon, I actually bought it from Smothers Brothers Volvo in Santa Rosa, CA. It did not have a great relationship with electricity after an accident with a drunk driver. But it was a very fast wagon.

I finally saw my first TourX in the wild today, Silver, Atlanta Metro area at the corner Ponce De Leon and Oakbrook. The other driver probably didn’t see me as I was two vehicles behind with an SUV between us.

Since we've allowed this to include Sportbacks - a shout out to the white sportback (plain white, not the pearl) outside of Albuquerque today. Looked like a base mode, no blind spot monitoring or any visible parking sensors I could see. I was holding 85 mph as much as possible on the interstate but you must have hit triple digits.

Just saw a white TourX on Changebridge Rd in Montville, I waved but didn't see a response.

Monroeville PA was a hot area today...found TWO! Either black or Darkmoon with a North Star sticker at Caliente, and a white one at the Gateway Grill on the Northern Pike. Either of these two sound familiar?

Monday morning, around 10:30a, heading north on I75 between Atlanta and Chattanooga I spotted a pewter gray one that passed me. I didn’t dare speed up to catch up to you, you were going so fast.

I think I've seen the same one you're talking about, I've seen it head that way around that time multiple times.

I’ll have no way of confirming this as I was driving back to Illinois after a month and a half staying my daughter while my wife was convalescing after a medical procedure. We might be back in Feb for a followup appointment. The Emory Healthcare system is so much better than what we have locally.

Was just behind a smoked pearl TourX, you got on 287N from Main Street in Montville... anyone here?
That would be ours. If you have a red TourX locally my husband met you/your wife at the Post Office - we are also thrilled to see other owners out in "the wild" lol.

Awesome...really rare to find one, even rarer to to someone on this site. My TourX is smoked pearl too so it wasn't me at the PO.

With how rare it is to have two TourXes, I wonder if anyone has ever gotten 3 TourXes in the same spot. pics or it didn’t happen… 🙂

I've seen two others in one day, but not at the same time. I actually saw a maroon one today, but the windows were too tinted to see if they waved back.

He actually told me he was at the post office, and a woman was taking a photo of his car, they started chatting and she said her husband had one and they NEVER saw others, hence the photo to prove it, lol. But it turns out she wasn't driving theirs so he didn't know what color it was. It was another incident in Parsippany on Rt.10 when he met someone with a red one. I was getting them muddled.

I don't think that has ever happened other than in transit from the factory. Most I ever saw at a dealer was two...so three in one place in the wild? Unless we do some meet and greets I don't believe this is possible.

Sounds like a challenge.
Shall I call for a Motown wagon meet? 🤣
