are you talking about this? do you have electronic heater control assembly? Because manual vs electronic have different parts.

Its definately electronic .. the regisiter has a 5 prong plug and a 2 prong plug and its mounted into the evaporator box under the hood
Do you just need the resistor? Not the connector or anything else? Pic of it by chance

Sounds a lot like what is in my 98 Riviera. It's called a blower motor module. It looks like this,

Now, I dont know for a fact this is going to work, but it works on regals, is the same shape, and I would think the controller in a regal is probably the same as the riviera. The C68 climate option is a rare thing to find in 1980s vehicles, let alone survivors, let alone just how many brand new ones there were. So this appears to be the only reproduction i can find. the module is redesigned so the prongs arent on top of it(water damage and corrosion common)

1985 Riviera Electronic Climate Control Issue place I found the info I posted

before replacing it: Do you know your resistor is dead? This is a lot of money for this part, so you would want to be sure. Most resistors when they die will work on full speed but nothing else

Let me know what you find.
I called Parts place and it was not the correct part. I am determined to find it but as for now I am going to hook up some kind of switch to at least turn the blower on with the capability to turn it off as well. That was the main problem I was having with it was the blower would not turn off and causing my battery to drain.

I would say the one that Buick Girl pictured in her post is the one. It is a precursor to the blower module GM used in the 90's and like the one I pictured in post #7. I have replaced the one in my 98 Riviera twice in the 19 years I have owned the car. The very common failure mode is the blower stays on when you shut the engine down. They are expensive parts, 100.00 +.

Thank you very much, I will have some test made to see if this is the problem, it could very well be.
