I have had this car for about 3 months now and we are having troubles with it not starting. I have the key/fob unit without the push button ignition. After driving around town for a while (seems like this happens when it gets hot), we get in to start the car and when we turn the key we get one click and nothing else. First time this happened we had a buddy come and jump us, as soon as the cables were on it started right up. Second time it happened I hooked up a battery charger and it fired up as soon as it was connected, third time we let it sit over night and it started fine in the morning. I have had the battery, starter and alternator tested and they all pass. I also hooked up a code reader and it is throwing no codes. Called the dealer where I bought it and they said that before they sold it to us they put in a new battery, ignition coil wire, and starter because an ignition coil was triggering the service engine soon light. We bought this car used at a Ford Dealership and it is past the 30 day warranty so that dealership is no help to us.
I think it might be the key/fob batteries so that is next on my list of things to do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
