2013 Buick Verano Stalling when leaving Stop Light

My wife's 2016 Buick Verano was exhibiting the stalling, dying in traffic, check engine light on, took it to the dealer and they said they could not replicate the problem, not once not twice but three times. Honestly, I was too lazy at the time to look into it myself and after the car dying repeatedly this weekend I gave in and I finally resolved to fix the issue myself and did a search on the web for the issue and found this thread. Went to OReillys who stocks the Dorman replacement Intake Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Control Valve PN 917-215, 30 minutes later I had it installed, disconnected, and reconnected the battery, and then fired up the car. The problem is gone. Thank you to everyone who posted here!, GM leaves it to us to solve these problems and expects you to fix them because their dealerships are too lazy or just plain ignorant given the number of people who have and are having this exact problem. And GM wonders why nobody wants to visit their local Dealerships 🙂

Same thing happened to me today I took a left turn and it stalled twice why is that
Has anyone figured out why the car stalls when you turn left? I have this same problem and it only does it when we first crank up the car and turn left. If we then right first, then make a left turn it doesn’t do it

Recently, my girlfriends car started stalling whenever she would stop at a light and then as soon as she hit the gas to take off it would just stall.
She is really scared to drive it and I was hoping for suggestions on fixing it.

When all this started her check engine light came on.
We took it to Auto Zone and the machine found 2 error codes listed below:

P0010 Intake Camshaft Position Actuator Circuit / Open (Bank 1)
P0010 Intake Camshaft Position Actuator Circuit / Open (Bank 1)

She ended up showing her cousin and he ordered 2 cam shaft position sensors.
He put the sensors in and then we unhooked the battery and the check engine light is off.
Now, when I drive the car and stop at a light and try to take off it stalls but not every single time. It seems the issue is a lot better but still unresolved.

I asked my girlfriend to show me the print out from auto zone and found that we had replaced the wrong parts even though it fixed the issue somewhat but not fully.

After reading up online and reading these codes I ended up ordering 2 parts:

1 - Intake Camshaft Position Actuator Control Valve Solenoid
1 - Exhaust Camshaft Position Actuator Control Valve Solenoid

I am just waiting on the parts to arrive from shipping.

Does anyone know if this will fix the issue or possibly what else could be causing this??

Any comments would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.
O2 sensor?

I'm also having the same issue with my 2016 Buick Verano. It continues to stall out when I'm at a stop and go to accelerate. Check engine light came on so I went to take it to a garage but the light came off by the time I got there so couldn't read any codes. My check engine light came back on but not stalling as much. Any ideas I'm out of town and don't know if I should wait till I'm home to fix it.

Wow I apologize, I didn’t realize my post had so many replies. I did post the part numbers previously. I will list them below.(Copied old post with description and part numbers) my now wife’s same 2013 Buick Verano leather is starting to spudder/almost stall when stopping at a stop light. I have to quickly throw it in neutral to allow it to idle correctly. I was looking for ideas on what it may be and found my post.

The car is not throwing any lights. I was thinking fuel filter but that’s not an option on parts web sites which makes me think that is internal to the gas tank. The Buick seems to spudder at stop. Usually fast stops. It has not stalled yet but looking for some guidance. Again I apologize for not replying previously. The part numbers on cam position sensors are below:

found them on Amazon - Much cheaper then from the dealer or Auto Parts store and they are well made parts.
Here is the description and link to the ones I bought for the 2013 Buick Verano (No Turbo) although, these will fit a Verano with a Turbo.

Intake & Exhaust Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Control Valve 12655420 12655421 Fit for GM Chevy Cobalt Malibu G5 G6 HHR Buick Pontiac 2.0L 2.2L 2.4L
You can access Amazon to find the parts at the linkbelow.

I know it's an old thread but did you ever figure this out? Just had the timing chain and tensioner replaced along with both solenoids and fuel pressure regulator along with fuel pump that is attached to the motor up front. Car runs fine but as soon as I come to a stop light and sit for about 5 Seconds the car will jerk back and forth and as soon as I put it in neutral the idle will smooth itself out within couple seconds.

Thanks for heads up on Verano stalling issue. It happens when making left turns from stop position. Scary. I’ve got 2013 and I don’t drive much. (22,900 miles) I’m 65. This is my third BUICK since 1981! 😊

Well we just change the actuators / phasers and the car is still bucking at stop lights. Also change rear fuel sensor near tank still having the same symptoms.
