I have a 2013 Buick Verano Base 179,000 miles 2.4L.
Timing chain was making a little noise so I had an appointment to have it changed and the day before I was to bring it in it started to jerk back and forth and kind of lunge back and forth at stop lights in gear with foot on brake but would smooth out when put in park or neutral. After about 15 seconds acting up at stop lights it would then go into limp mode, no power, stabilartack warning, with engine light.
Codes were p228d,p0089,p0019 and p0014.
Had the timing chain and tensioner replaced they also replaced the fuel pressure regulator and the camshaft solenoids in the car ran smooth drove great until about an hour and a half of driving later it started doing the jerking back and forth thing at a stoplight again. Brought the car back and they check the solenoids with an ohmmeter and said they were good and warrantied out the fuel pressure regulator.
I picked up the car left the shop it was started doing it again and gave me a p0191 code so they replaced the fuel pump on the motor not the one with the tank. Clear the codes and I put 400 miles on the car that day without one issue.
Fast forward the next day and 20 minutes of driving I hit a stoplight and it's surging back and forth again p228d and p0089 codes.
I need some help here because this is becoming very expensive and very time-consuming.
