Is there oil in your intake

I'll check the back of the engine again tomorrow. No oil in the intake. I did a throttle body cleaning today (seafoam) and everything looked good! The part# for the sensor I'm using is AF10242.

Alrightey. I did confirm that there is no MAP sensor on this car. My local Buick dealer was able to do that for me. I'm still at a loss. I have the O.E. part number (24502968) but it appears to be discontinued. I can't find any MAF sensor specifically for the supercharged application besides the OEM. Am I up a creek without a paddle?

I'm going to have to table the MAF sensor code. I put the old sensor back in. I however replaced the EGR valve and now I'm getting a "55" code. I want to buy a new connector as I believe the wiring by the previous owner may be the culprit? But I can't find one anywhere. Any advice?

that EGR looks new can you get the part number oni t, there are two different EGR and they look identical. well, 3.
And, the connector.. yeah thats bad splicing, i cant find the connector, you can cut the wires out of that splice and then fix them properly. However, you need to have the right wires to the right pin. that could be off.

if you dont have 2 radiator fans, you can fun fact upgrade it for cheap /.easy

The part # is AC Delco 214-2129. I repaired the wiring with crimp and heat shrink connectors. I think it looks decent! O.E. wires on the connector are a little dull but not awful.

Does my connector look like it is missing a pin? On the top right hand side of the "Y" shape it is blank. I found a replacement online and it shows everything pinned. Mine also only has 3 wires. Should it have 4? Previous owner did a larger wiring repair on it so I am unsure of how it looked factory. I attached a photo of the one I found online.

Does the egr have 4 pins in the cavity? if not its probably unused

the wiring splices were not shrunk and they also were 2 sets of them, dont splice the wire in 2 spots within 6 inches, the better repair is a new pigtail and then one set of splices, if the wires were long enough, offsetting each splice just far enough to not have them next to eachother makes the repair area much less bulky too

correlation is not causation. but im glad to hear they are ngk wires. what plug part number did you use? are they at .060 gap? only copper or or iridium (no platinum!) plugs should be used

copper, however, will wear out almost twice as fast as an older vehicle with a distributor so its not the best but it is ok to use.


Have you checked for codes by grounding A and B on the ALDL connector under the dash?

Figured id ask you since you have a wealth of knowledge! Those NGK wires are already crapping out ( won't hold on the plugs ). Any particular plug that works best? If copper is the absolute best for it running i dont mind changing them more often. I cant find a Delco or GM part number with the proper gap? Do you have a part # recommendation?

If you like your wires you can buy new ends and a tool to crimp them on

if you want new wires, NAPA sells the same set as the ac delco but cheaper (belden wires)
41-101 (iridium) can be used too , but there is no functional benefit on the series 1 over the platinum
