Buick Ownership
2014 Buick Verano
My 2014 Buick Verano air conditioning stopped working for no apparent reason. It blows but is not getting cold and is full of freeon. Has any one else experienced this issue

Compressor, fuses, relays, actuator, HVAC control panel, low refrigerant, there are many different reasons why the AC stops working. Until they are checked not much can be done as what is wrong by a simple description of not working.

My husband checked it and all the fuses, compressor etc. everything is showing in good working order.

Did he also check the high/low side pressures? You could have a bad control valve in the compressor, if the pressures do not check out normal.

The high and low side were both working fine. I had a guy look at it he got the air back blowing cold. And all he say he did was removed some fuses clean the area and put them back in. But it stopped the day after. Any idea what could be the cause.

Do you have any idea where the relay would be on a 2014 Buick Verano?

They are listed in the owners manual, if you don't have one you can download it.

Yes my 2014 Buick Verano AC blowing hot air

My '96 PAU & RMS are blowing ice cold air out the vents, which I repaired myself. You need to find someone who is EPA certified in A/C repairs. Junk yard mechanics, and many dealers have no idea how to dignose the system. Been there, done that!

Are you the OP of this thread 'arankin2411'? If so, thanks for the feedback.

yea up, that's on the money, same thing just happened to mine,. A/C working fine, got off to the store, got back in and no a/c, blower works but no cold air. took it to the a/c repair shop all pressure lines read good, told me I had a short in the system, took it to a electrical mechanic, ran a diagnosis on the vehicle, nothing. He manually trouble shot the a/c system till finally found the issue! The a/c clutch coil was out. replaced the whole compressor and just like that the air was cold once again. We also looked for the a/c relay/fuse there was none never found it even with the help of the manual, not in the manual!

I’m having the same issue... out of no where my ac stopped working... they told me it’s fully charged with freon, compressor works, blows hot air, my fans arent turning on tho. Issues might be temp sensor, thermostat or faulty efans. I am not having any overheating issues, did you have any before replacing thermostat and temp sensor?????

I just recently had a first time Climate Control - A/C issue.
I have Automatic Climate Control on my 2013 Verano.
Has always worked fine without fail.

A week or so ago, I hit the Auto button to turn the system on and it started blowing Hot air instead of the Cold which I expected and it should have been doing. Car was really warm inside, at least 80F, maybe more. And Climate Control was set at 72F.

I kept turning the temperature down one notch/click at a time, 2 degree increments.
A/C only kicked on after I got to the lowest setting which is "LOW".
Well, that was good news since it confirmed that the A/C still worked.

Once I got home, I disconnected the battery(negative cable) and let it set for an hour or so.
Hooked the battery back up and the Climate Control and A/C are so far working fine.
Fingers crossed, hope it remains that way.

Every once in awhile you can get lucky by just "rebooting" the car.
It is just one big rolling computer after all....

Interesting. I own a 2014 Verano and A/C didn’t work. No warning lights, nothing. Glad I wasn’t on a long trip. Will take it to a professional tomorrow!
