Auto Stop Start - GONE FOREVER

I have a new 2019 Buick Enclave - the auto stop-start drives me crazy - our Mercedes at least gives us a button to turn it off once the car is started - the Enclave does not give you any capability to turn it off - I asked the dealership and they said some like it but MOST HATE IT. They printed off a website that produces a by-pass device that costs $140 and takes 5 minutes to install - yippee I no longer have to drive a brand new car that stops whenever it feels like it.

I just installed mine last night. Literally took five minutes. It works exactly as advertised. No warnings etc. Like the gentleman said best $140 I have spent on a car.

This module will become obsolete when MFR's start using locked PCM's just like the C8 Corvette will have so enjoy it while you can.

Since the auto s/s defeat module merely delays an input signal (the hood is not latched) to the engine control module, it wouldn't make any difference whether the ECM is 'locked', propitiatory or even copyrighted--it (or any other module) can only react to the signals it receives.

There are a couple of issues with that device. Number 3 in particular seems to be an annoyance every time you remote start.

my uncle called me excited that he got his auto start stop off in his 2019 enclave by holding the brake and gas down at the light. he told me he got it off by messing with the gas and brake at the same time . idk how he did it cause he knows nothing about technology but now its off so i think it has to do something with both of those that disable the feature.

I usually don’t mind the stop/start, but if going from light to light I feel like it is overworking the starter.

To temporarily disable it, shift to low range and paddle up to 9. This will deactivate stop/start until the engine is turned off manually. The transmission shifts normally.
