Battery Tender connection in Buick Envision

Hello guys. I read a post from several years ago and probably no one will reply there, so I’m creating a new thread.

I’ve been trying to install a Noco Genius 2 in my 2022 Envision, but the connectors have a big rubber head and I can’t use the positive terminal in the fuse box where the jump starter connector goes. So I was wondering if Can I use the the bolt next to it? It says 175A but I don’t know if that one is fine. Also check in the pictures attached if the negative goes in that ground in the strut towel.

That post next to the positive jumper connection is fine as well as the ground on the strut.

I agree. Remember, the amount of current coming from the Battery Tender will never exceed the rating of that fuse, so it should be safe to go through it for your purposes.

The issue would be if it's a 20A, 15A, 10A, or other size, and the amount of current (amperage) you intend to push through it exceeds its rating. THEN you'll have issues.

Yep, I have Noco 5 and 10 too.
But I like to charge and maintain all my batteries at lower amps. The battery in that Envision was low, I had to recovery once when car arrived from auction.

PS: Noco 10 is a beast when you need to bring from death a battery and more if it is sulfated.
