Control arm replacement price $$$

If your car has magnasteer (do you have traction control? or stabilitrak?) then yes you could. But depending on their tool they may not realize they can. On my autel its under service > steering angle sensor or something odd

On tech 2 its under special functions for the Chassis system, and I believe its named Magnasteer Calibration or something.

Its incredibly easy, takes longer to navigate to it on a tech 2 than to actually change it.

on cars with Gran Touring, it was set to firm factory. On all other park avenues with Magnasteer, it was set to Base (which means all park avenues have a softer steering potential if they have magnasteer)
According to my RPO codes I have magnasteer and a firm suspension. Not Grand Touring but firm . I don't want to spend a lot of money just to change a setting . Unless I return it after changing the settings on my car 🤔 hmmm. Thanks for the info above. I'll screen shot it and save it to my phones notebook so I have your info on hand🙃

Sorry, I forgot to answer your question. Yes my car has traction control . The button is on the end of the gear shifter .

What is the suspension code, F41, or FE1?

F41 is firm ride & handling suspension.

Yep, and the RPO Code NV8 Is with magnasteer
You have a rear sway bar, nice. your car actually then has the stiffest steering!! You will enjoy soft steering once you get it changed

Have you deciphered all of the RPO codes to see exactly what you have in that car?
Off hand I see a 125 amp alternator (nice) and a uplevel radio

Magnasteer "NV8" is variable steering control & can adjust for different situations, either parked or on the road. Great option if working correctly!

You have an unusual Base PA with the options listed!
It's an odd build for sure. Let's give it a firm suspension and magnasteer but leave the supercharger off lol 🤪

I didn't even know about that? I wonder why it has a high power amp 🤔 maybe for a phone or CB setup? My car has one of those 10 inch black antennas on the rear windshield when I bought it . It doesn't have Concert Sound 2 stereo setup . It's just a 6 speaker setup with 2 speakers on each of the front doors and 2 6x9s on the rear deck. No speakers in the back doors .

So is it supposed to adjust to your driving conditions? I was under the assumption that you just have it set to either loose/ normal / firm . I'm not very familiar with it as I've never had it in a car before . Just know that I would like it so it's easier to turn (esp when parking). Carpel Tunnel Syndrome sucks .

Ok I just found this webpage explaining Variable assisted power steering and magnasteer. Variable-Assist Power Steering Explained
I don't notice any difference in steering while driving. Maybe I'm just not paying attention to it 🤔

Meaningless for your purposes. Just means suspensionsprimgswerechose. Based on computer choice. Was a selling point in the 70/80s but just stuck around
