I’m having the same issue with my lacrosse or started off with the driver window not working then the radio not going off when opening the door. Now it’s saying that the driver door is open, it’s starting to get frustrating because nobody can tell me what’s wrong.

Hello, I am also having this issue with my rear drivers side door. I will try the battery cables off and touching for 10 minutes. I have tried lubing up the latch. Has anyone had a fix? I realize this post extends back a few years with no solid answer. Thanks in advance for any replies.

I stated having this problem yesterday. The dome light will not go off, the driver’s window will not move, the display shows the driver’s door is open and you cannot keep the driver’s lock because it automatically unlocks due to thinking the door is open. Has anyone been able to resolve this issue?

In most cases it's the drivers door actuator that is not operating properly, which needs to be inspected, may need to be replaced or could be a short in the harness going to the actuator. Silicon spray in the actuator may be a solution, but depends on the issue if it will work. To many different models and years on the posts to cover all possible problems.

Thanks 2007LucerneCXL. I found these on two other sites. It matches up with what you have said. I haven’t try the repair yet. I will repost when I do.

1. After doing some research it turned out to be the driver side window motor. For some reason they have signals going thru it. I suppose it could be loose wiring to the motor too.... but in my case it was the motor.
2. Hello again Pushrod, I want to let u know that u were spot on. After spending $217.50 they said the same thing u said. "found open wire(cut) appoximately 12" from Motor/Module in l/s drivers dr. I did get a 1 hour of diagnosis free of charge, they repaired it and rerouted the harness.

Those I posted are the basic 101 problems, but then you get into model along with MY and people may end up chasing phantom parts or problems they don't relate to their vehicles. Doing continuity tests with a meter is just one method to confirm a visual inspection as a broken wire inside the harness can be overlooked.

I have a 2011 Regal, same issue. Driver door would show open, dome light coming on, and horn won't blast/setting alarm on second press of Key fob. Disconnected the battery but did not touch cables and sprayed WD40 in latch. That solved the first set of problems. Now two new problems; Radio won't shut off and Driver window won't go down. Bought a new actuator/latch waiting for it to come in. If that does not resolve the issue, looks like the power window motor is next. Really hate new vehicles, not sure what these morons are trying to accomplish other than charging a fortune to fix it and ticking off customers. Door Jamb switches were cheap, worked fine for many years, and never had to change one. Amazing this one issue controls this many components that seem totally unrelated but are and GM has no answer they are willing to share. Makes no logical sense, reboot solves and causes different problem. The other evil thing GM and all manufacturers are doing is obsoleting parts. I also have a Hummer H3 that the evaporator temperature sensor went bad recently, had to buy a whole climate box from a wrecking yard to get a $30 sensor that is no longer made. You would think GM would put that sensor in many of their vehicles, really only 2 Sky/Solace and the H3. I've been a GM guy all my life, I think I am done.

Same exact thing going on with my Buick Lacrosse 2014. Does anyone know the issues we are having?

I had this issue. Dealer was no help. unplugged wiring harness for the door from the car. It was full of water. Dried it out. Problem went away. I have no idea how any of this happened. Had not reoccurred in 5 years.
