I have had my 2013 Regal GS for about 4 months now. You know what that means, some mods. The car handles great has decent power, but I wouldn't mind a little more. What is the upgrade path on this car? I have an automatic so are there any restrictions as fare as that goes? Tune I assume is best bang for buck mod. Which is the best one? I saw a thread about a possible transmission tune? Is that out for production yet? Any precautions or things that should be done before running an aftermarket tune?

I would start with a K&N air filter. Your tune will work better when you get the air in faster. After that an IPF tune or Trifecta tune. I like IPF, others like Trifecta. At that point you might have close to 300 HP. You will feel a massive difference in performance. From there a downpipe. If you don't have state inspections you might want a catless downpipe. I would delete the muffler next. The faster the exhaust spins up the turbo the quicker you are. Some people are into how the car sounds more than speed. I like speed so I would leave a straight unrestricted exhaust. But that is a personal choice. Some say the mufflers are great and don't slow the car down. There is no data on this so it's up to you. From there it gets very expensive. Larger turbo and intercooler comes to mind.

I love my LED DRLs. I also replaced my amber turn signal bulb to an amber LED light. It really changes the car at night.

I'm sure you will get as many different upgrade paths as there are forum members. The above is my suggestion.

Cold Air Intake, Trifecta Tune, atmospheric bybass valve, downpipe, lowering springs..

After those items it starts to get very expensive. honestly, after those you are better looking at a more expensive car or a car with better performance.

Be carful with atmospheric bypass. I understand you need a special tune and it really doesn't do anything for performance. But it sounds sweet.

yes you are correct, trifecta updates your tune and it sounds AMAZING!!

The part it replaces is made of plastic and rubber and the bypass valve is forged aluminium. All it is doing is preventing the inevitable failure of the OEM part it is replacing.
