Salvage is the way to go. They are were used on a wide range of 3.8s and easy to find salvage. I have heard many horror stories on auto part stores aftermarket ones.
Actually I have had pretty good with the originals on the Regals. Only had one go out and it drove me crazy trying to figure it out. No code thrown, but the car would stall at lights when the engine got warm, miss when accelerating and problems would go away when the car cooled off. Figured it was heat related.
