I know it's a little late but those leashes are on the pillars so that when/if the side curtain airbags go off they don't send them flying all over the car

well then that's good that I reattached them.

I'm not trying to come off as a dick...Do you know how radar works? Unless its the 90s most departments use laser, which you won't even register until its to late

Yea I know. Actually most of the regions I drive through(Illinois/Wisconsin) still use Ka soley because laser cannot be used while the cop is moving. The Ka band can be used while moving or stationary. I have been hit with laser a few times and they usually shoot it more than once. I know it doesn't make me invincible and I don't expect it to. Its just an aid. I know some people think its stupid and its a waste but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
either way the point of the thread was not to encourage people to install a radar detector. It was to show how to take some of that stuff apart with some pictures.

So Kranz that looks like a golden eagle unit by Kustom. One of the best units out there. You can get them coming and going even in moving mode in both directions or same as your direction! They can never slow down quick enough as long as you keep it in in standby mode then light them up. Laser units are awesome for picking out single cars but stationary only and its can be fatiguing at times. That look they give you after being stopped with a detector is priceless.

Im not even sure which direction this thread is going but i had bought a Valentine V1 last year and it did NOT impress me , only a few times did it work and i spotted the cop first and they were times a cop was in front of me and my V1 was silent , a few times i caught the police before my V1 did

But laser scatters off of other cars and the V1 is the best in picking up laser, period. Plus it is the best windshield mount at picking quick trigger right out of the box.

Personally I've been running V1 3.893 with Savy with good results. In Ohio we have tracffic speed sensors every mile and the TSR(traffic sensor reduction) is the most sensitive when enabled. Who can go without the arrows!
