- 2003 century
I added some cheap LED Switchback turn signals for my wife's 2003 buick century, and the usual resistors. They look and work great at night, however during the day they don't work as expected.
The turn signals are barely visible during the day, and the DRLs are just the same dim amber rather than the white I was hoping for.
At night they look great, they are bright white, and the turn signals are bright amber. It flashes back and forth white-amber instead of white-amber-off-amber if that is useful info.
I assume this is just a weird quirk that the drl on this car uses the blinker circuit rather than the parking light. I also couldn't find a way to disable the drl as they aren't required in my state.
If anyone has any idea how to make this work correctly that'd be great, I was considering getting the led flasher module and deleting the resistors, but I'd still be stuck with the ugly amber drl if that fixed the dim issue.
Here's a pic of the difference at night, I'll try to get a pic of the problem during the day.
Thanks for any ideas!
