He quoted me $2657 for 7 years 100,000 miles from the day you buy the plan, which is a generous time. He gets good BBB ratings. However I emailed him to ask if it is okay to wait until my warranty is about to expire, a year from now, and he refuses to respond to my question. Sort of a red flag because of that.

Personally I would not trust BBB ratings at_all. is bbb legit - Google Search

My local dealer attempted to sell me a 10-year, 125k mileage warranty via Zurich VSC. Retail of policy was $3400. $100 deductible. They offered it at $2800 IIRC. Have no idea if Zurich VSC is good or not (which is what matters most in this decision), but may be another vendor to add to your search. Dealer told me it coverage for everything, inside and out.
