My GS exhaust project

Anyone have a detailed breakdown of these exhaust setups?

Will all shops have that Straight Pipe or is that something that has to be ordered?


I really want to do the borla exhaust for the better sound. Does the oval or round make a big difference?

Sent ya a pm. Since our exhaust piping is 3" you can still utilize the stock pipes.

The shop ordered the 2.5 piping for me. Originally I wanted 3 inch from the y-pipe too, but the bending and clearance was limited and shop recommended 2.5 inch.

Page 11 is my set up, page 12 has a vid at cold start and idle.

Sent ya another PM too. haha.

GS is 3" IIRC.

I believe it is 3" up to the Y-pipe, and 2.5" from Y to each muffler, but I could be wrong.

You can hear the turbo spool up and release quite nicely. There is surprisingly little drone.

I like the sound on video, but can't tell how loud it really is, or how it changed the sound inside the car. I'm looking for something a bit louder, but not too loud (been there, done that!) Any feedback? Thanks.

He sold his buick regal gs and has a 2014 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Ultimate

benny blaze is the better buick GS owner to ask questions about the exhaust install. I used his advice in making the decision on my GS.

Hello Y'allz! My set up is very similar to TPR but I upgraded the y-pipe to three inches and had the shop custom bend the outlet pipes. If y'all have any questions, feel free to ask! B)
