2011 Regal Turbo (T03) - 6 sp manual & 2013 Verano Turbo (totalled 9/19)
My wife has a 2013 Verano with the Nav and Infotainment display. She took the car in for service on Saturday and now has on the upper right of the display - the word "GPS" with the red slash through it. Only thing the manual says is no satellite signal. She drove 100 miles+ yesterday so not like tree coverage. Nothing in config menu to help.

I phoned Buick and they are not sure - said take it back to the dealer (ugh - a PIA). Only service they were supposed to do last Saturday was to change the cabin filter due to musty smells.

Any thoughts on cause or anyone else ever get this?

based on what I've read about accessing the cabin filter, sounds like something is unplugged, probably fumble fingers the mechanic

I had a feeling the filter may be close or related. Hopefully they own up to it if that turns out to be the case.

Hi TurboLover,

Please let us know how everything goes once you speak with your dealership. The GPS system may not operate if the battery is discharged or disconnected, so they may want to check into that as well. Keep us posted.

I have the exact same issue. Cabin filter was replaced 11/22/14 and now the GPS has a red line through it, the compass and onstar phone do not work. Is your light on the onstar rear view mirror red? I removed the glove box (which Buick makes VERY difficult) and saw a wire was not plugged into the onstar unit. Plugged it back it (but it was not made to securely fit and lock in place) and made sure light was green. Put everything back together and the light turned back to red. Onstar has been no help, they say there is a problem with the antenna, which I assume is due to the wire.

Our phone and OnStar worked. I contacted OnStar first to see whether there was a code that they could capture or diagnose. They could not and referred me to Buick Infotainment customer support. The could not diagnose either but they tried and actually follow-up twice to make sure the problem was resolved by the dealer.

We did wind up taking into the dealer and they said a wire to the GPS had come loose.

Dealer code for "fumble fingers forgot to plug it in"
So would love to know where exactly is this wire that gets unplugged that causes the GPS not to work?? I know in the cabin area but where exactly, I too have the same issue and thought before I tear open it all I ask and may n e someone could tell me so I won't be tearing into the dash itself, thanks ahead

It's going to be somewhere behind the dash, you'll probably need to gently disassemble the center stack and check for an unplugged or loose wire
