One thing after another, P2176

That sucks, but my cars finish was less than stellar when I got it back from the dealer. There were numerous scratches and scuffs especially on the rear bumper up where he trunk lid sits. They all buffed out when I detailed it this past weekend. Good luck with yours too.

Ah yes, sounds like par for the course. So far, I've had scratches, a damaged wheel, cigarette odor and a bent rear license plate (not sure how the hell they did that) and 3 visits to finally get the P2261 issue fixed. In my case, in addition to the bypass valve, an air tank or something for the vacuum was needed. I don't come around on this forum too often anymore because it depresses me to see all the problems.

It's very depressing to say the least. I hope yours gets fixed!!

Fun, mine is in for P2261 right now.

Sorry to hear this man. On my trip back home yesterday, my car tripped the 2261 three times!!!! I'm calling the deer to try and get in on Friday. Can you keep me in the loop on what they diagnose yours as being the problem.

I just got around to calling the dealer to schedule an appointment. I think I'm going to wash the car up this weekend and take a trip down to the MINI dealership and see of they can crunch some numbers and see if I could get into a Cooper S without taking too much of a hit. I'm quite frankly sick of the time I have to put into taking this car into the dealership. I don't get many days off and every time I'm off, is when I take the car in for a problem.

Well for mine they said the blow off valve opened up and everything tested fine. Now three days later my check engine light is back on. Same codes. Back to the dealership I go. The entire service department knows me now.

I'm at the dealer right now. The car will be getting a new throttle body as the throttle positioning sensor is "incorporated" into the assembly. The part has to be ordered and I will be called when it comes in. Luckily I have finally been able to take leave and will be on leave for the next two weeks.

Nice.... I have a trip to Quakecon on the 1st....... I wonder if I can get them to give me an Enclave. Yes i am still waiting to take mine in as they couldn't get me in before thursday.

Sorry to hear your car isn't running right. Hopefully this will be the final fix.

Dropped mine off this morning. it is starting to get a little depressing. My phone was already paired to the loaner meaning I have had this one before. The people in the office no longer ask for my name. They all know me and start getting my paperwork as soon as I pull up. Going to give it maybe one or two more visits to service this year before it is gone. I absolutely love my regal but this is starting to wear on me.

Sorry man. 🙁 I hope this isn't a trend that is going to start with the rest of us.😕

I have owned a classic Jag and if the service of something else can get to me, you know it is pretty bad.

Hey Lancer,

I know we have talked before- I did not know you were continuing to have issues! If there is anything I can do please let me know. Keep us all posted on how the visit to the dealership goes this time around.

Well went to pick it up today. They said the vacuum tank was clogged and so they replaced it. You might recall me mentioning I had the tensioner squeal that they attributed to the blow off valve the first time I brought it in. Well as they were pulling my car up it started squealing so bad you could hear it inside the waiting room. Needless to say I hopped back in my loaner and my car is still there. I also went and asked my sales guy to go look at the car while it is in service and tell me how bad I am going to get bent over on the trade in.

This sucks, no way around it. At this point you have to decide how much more aggravation you want to endure. Trade it, lose your ass, and move on or just keep fighting for what you should have received in the first place. No right answer here. Good luck!

That sucks man!!! I had a 7:30 am appointment yesterday morning and was out by 8:25 a.m. They replaced my throttle body because the throttle positioning sensor is incorporated into it and once again, the car is awesome!! I hate to say it, but until the next thing goes wrong!! ::sigh::
