Buick - 2016 AWD Turbo
Members -

I of course value your options and I thank you in the past for your help

I have a question - I am thinking of getting a Hood Emblem/Decal on the Lip of the hood that states

"2.0 SIDI Turbo" - kind of like what the old T-Type/GN's had on their hoods that said "3.8 SFI Turbo"

Also I was thinking of buying 2 new t/tt emblems that are on the 2016 rear and putting one on each fender

Its White - the windows are getting tinted - and I think it would be a tribute to the T-Type's

I mean - it really is a T-Type - Same HP and Drive Train as the GS (259HP) with out all the extra fun stuff - just like a 87 T-Type

Again Mine is the AWD Turbo non GS

Thoughts?

I really wish the GN name plate would come back

1SL models and above offer a standard 2.0L turbo four-cylinder engine rated at 259 horsepower (193 kW).

The 2.0L engine’s turbocharger features a twin-scroll design that uses exhaust tuning to generate balance between maximum power and excellent turbo response, enabling the engine to deliver a broad torque band

In fact, it delivers 90 percent (259 lb-ft / 353 Nm) of its peak torque from 1,700 rpm to 5,500 rpm and a full 295 lb-ft of peak torque (400 Nm) from 3,000 to 4,000 rpm in the Regal.
For the Regal GS, peak torque is reached at 2,500 rpm and is maintained through 4,000 rpm. Those broad torque bands are supported by boost levels as high as 24 psi (1.65 bar) in the speed range, engineered to give the Regal and Regal GS assuring, exhilarating feelings of immediate power on demand.

I say go for it. If you can find a decent font it would look nice. You have a vertical area just below the faux hood vent for an engine call-out. Just don't use mailbox letters from Ace Hardware.

As for the trunk "T" badge on the fender, I'm surprised no one thought of this sooner as there are no markings at all on the side of the car.

I too wish the GN name would come back, but it would be Cadillac ATS-V money to buy one.

Thank you for your response - I am going for it - the font on the hood will be the same as the old GN/T-Type - and it will be as crome as they can get a decal to be

The side t/tt have been ordered and will be put on once I get them

Window tint and decals tomorrow - I will be sure to post pics by the end of the week - the T/TT emblems will be here by then

THanks again
