Rattle in door panels

soooo little update.....

i also seem to have figured out what is causing the noise.... or at least part of the problem. The piece of plastic that has the window control on it is rattling at certain pitches in songs. I'm not sure if this is the entire problem i just noticed it tonight when i was heading home and will be looking into it more tomorrow when i have some free time.

That's exactly where my rattle is coming from too! The passenger door window switch panel buzzes through many mid-range frequencies. All I have to do to get it to stop is touch my finger to it. If the dealer doesn't sort my issue I'm sure a 1" square piece of dynamat will.

I would be happy to take a look at this on my end as well. Let me know how it goes and the dealer. If you need further assistance, please contact me vie private message. Thank you.

I'm getting some warranty stuff taken care of as we speak...my car won't be available for pick up until tomorrow but I did have the dealer go for a ride with me & they did hear the rattle so once I pick the car up tomorrow & talk to them I'll let you know exactly what is was.

K...so after having my car up at the dealership for nearly two weeks they think they've finally figured out what the issue is with the noise - we need a seat belt tensioner. I'm getting mine installed on both sides tomorrow I will update afterwards. This IS covered by warranty.

I have not heard from my dealer yet...... im very disappointed and getting a little angry that i have gone in twice for this issue, first by appointment and then second just stopping by and having a service rep tell me that he would have his manager give me a call on monday..... now it is going to be thursday and still nothing. i will be calling tomorrow and express my displeasure with them.......

I just bought a GS a couple of weeks ago and I noticed the buzz from the front passenger window switch immediately. I don't want to take it into the dealership for such a minor issue. Has anyone found an easy fix? I have a piece of painters tape over the top of it to keep it from driving me crazy in the meantime. If this many people are having trouble with the same thing there must be a defect or design error with this switch.

Thanks.

I have a buzz on the passenger side also. This only occurs when music is played. It appears to be coming from the seat belt tensioner also but I will check the window control in my doors. I had my car in for a few days to fix a rattle in the ceiling which ended up being some loose hosing and wiring. This was a much bigger issue so I didn't push fixing the buzz as much. Other than these two issues this car is brilliant.
