It’s going to be 15 volts like the cigarette outlet just need to find a way so they shut off when the ignition is off,I have 4 fuse boxes altogether I see that there are a couple of spots that have no power unless car is on,have them marked in picture, can I add a port to 11 and one to 12 with piggy back fuse or or do I have to find one that are equally the same volt for the fuse and can I put one on the sunroof fuse or will it mess with it?What is the purpose of supplying 12+ volts to a USB port.
Normal USB voltage is 5 volts.
anything on ACC ACCESSORY or RAP would allow 10 minutes of use after key off. All cig lighters should be hot all times in the park avenue. It’s going to be 15 volts like the cigarette outlet just need to find a way so they shut off when the ignition is off,I have 4 fuse boxes altogether I see that there are a couple of spots that have no power unless car is on,have them marked in picture, can I add a port to 11 and one to 12 with piggy back fuse or or do I have to find one that are equally the same volt for the fuse and can I put one on the sunroof fuse or will it mess with it?

so I can just connect to USB ports to the cigarette outlet?Just worried they will drain the battery since they light upanything on ACC ACCESSORY or RAP would allow 10 minutes of use after key off. All cig lighters should be hot all times in the park avenue.
if you want key off, you could wire a relay off a tap for the 20-25 amp circuit powering the potential cd changer. its a orange with black stripe. maybe is 10amp. It should be unfused when no car phone or cd changer equipped
if it was a hot wire and i misremembered, hmm you just need a reear wire or fuse thats key on. if you wanna use an acessory item, it willpower for 10 minutes or batery run down which ever first.
also, avoid wiring on the door circuits, that is not a good idea generally. the rear door modules may be key on but they are hot all times i think
the RFA/RDO fuse in rear box is 10 amp i wouldnt power off it, but it directly feeds radio. use to power a relay then a power wire from a all time hot source for its power distribution to the relay which if you dont have a cd changer there ya go its in the trunk on the harness for it but you could use a fuse tap and just start in the box
I meant 15 amps, they’ll be used for charging phone and stuffWhere are you getting 15 volts from and what is the USB going to be used for?
The cheap Chinese unit will under the 12 volt to 5 volt for the accessory. The concern is actually with the wiring. So he has currently the blocks in place of the original wiring for the socketa(a plastic clamp one on the end and then the center wire is held at a stand-off from the body of the 12 volt plug. In my opinion, a 12 volt plug would be better to keep there and then make the spot for ashtray a new face for the ports. The aftermarket USB ports 12V are no different than plugging into a cigarette adapter so not sure what the 5V concern is.
have one plugged in to my front ashtray lighter socket which has a green light on it all the time and has not run battery down!

Looking at it on the phone, I did not notice the detail of the port. I now see it enlarged and it appears to be the adapter type. The aftermarket USB ports 12V are no different than plugging into a cigarette adapter so not sure what the 5V concern is.
Each port on it says 2.1A so output current is 4.2a and input is 12/24v, so I just need to remove the 15a and put in 5aThe cheap Chinese unit will under the 12 volt to 5 volt for the accessory. do check your wiring is okay to handle two devices at 3.2 Amps. The the original wiring was prob eh for rhw one slow port and the One good port. I only say something because the wiring bias a door pass through and it was almost operator a single cig lighter. Not even. The same amponcwa
anyway, you are getting cig lighter feed from some maxi fuses then I believe there are relays on the box in the back for the accessory power needs and the key on power and the hot all time powe. Then into the appropriate fuse for the intended otherwise I will really recommend still properly getting Rap accessory power for this task in saying this as a 23 year old white girl
I spent a lot of time with a now ex in the back seat and we played a lot of music, charged phones, etc from rhw ports on door. And rap is just more convenient for these kind of purpses trust me
Plus I do believe finding rhw sourced
