Removing turbo

Haven't they been moving into a new building? I follow them on FB and swear I saw that sometime recently.

Anyways, you sir have done an excellent job! If my car wasn't a lease I'd heavily consider this 😛

They now stated that they don't know when i will go on a lift because i am "unscheduled"... And that they will keep in touch... This place is becoming a joke... I have a strong feeling i know where this is ultimately headed.

I Believed this project would be something important for ZZP ?

When it came to me paying them i had an appointment in two days... When they have to fix their part incompatibility, well its going on week 3 and nothing

this actually pisses me off .. honestly id get nasty with them , theyve had your car for how long? 3 weeks? are they going to make your car payment this month since theyve had the car this whole time? - idc if there moving or if there busy you cant get a guy to do a simple job? my god buy me lunch ill fly out to chicago and tackle this job myself - i always give a respectable time frame to get a job done.. once that time period is up than i start getting impatient and nasty.. gimme there number ill get your car done tomorrow with my nasty mouth...... (didnt know i was this pissed about your car lol)

That is complete BS and not what you would expect from a supposed reputable company like ZZP. I know I definitely won't be giving them any of my business or money. Customer service is key, especially in this economy.

They seem to get a lot of the same feedback on their facebook posts as well...

I'm seriously looking to make this upgrade but ZZP seems not too be that excited like us..

I've had my own complaints about ZZP, not surprised others have as well.

Marc, I'd look elsewhere, Hate to see another disappointed fellow regal owner waste time and money with ZZP.

They emailed me back apologizing, stating that several things had came up like a mechanics fathers death. They stated its on the lift but they don't know when it will be done, probably because there so many issues with the tune, and they aren't sure if they pressure plate will fix the issue. Nonetheless, i gave my condolence but like i stated, am still irritated its taken this long. I hope they don't completely burn bridges because you think they would want to work with us as far as modifications go...

Well I hate to poison the water for people wanting to do this mod.
The thing is when i picked it up the tune wasn't completely ironed out and the clutch was slipping. I have had zero issues with the big turbo, but being one of... two?... or very few regals with these extensive mods there are a lot of unknown factors. I knew this going into it. But what i will say is that even with the tune needing work and the clutch slipping this thing is stupid fast. I really cant wait to do the springs and plumbing and push 450. Once a few kinks are worked out and we get these mods going on the market it will go alot smoother.
What are the issues with the tune,
When i would do a pull in 3rd or 4th gear the turbo would release all pressure and "hiccup" around 4k rpm or so (in fact you can kind of hear it in my video at the 7 second mark sounds like a backfire [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0TWW28YJIw[/ame] ). Also when the IAT's dropped below a certain temp if i pushed the clutch in after a pull it would not idle, and stall. Apparently they said they found a few things in the boost command look up files that would cause my issue and it was as simple as a "flash". So hopefully...and i use that loosely... that it will be done this week.

I encourage people to do this mod, but it comes down to the tuner, installer and deep pockets. I am simply stating my experience so far. The few pulls i did successfully have, were nothing short of stout (comparing to my 400ish hp tbss and gto). I strongly believe from a roll they dont stand a chance

Update- for those who care...

The stalling after a pull when i engage the clutch is due to the lightweight flywheel, they were not sure if there is a fix for that. The car is running again and the new pressure plate seems to be working fine. The compressor surge will be phased out with the cam timing today, so we are getting closer to being done.:beer::beer: i wont drink yet though.

Have a beer when its been a week with the car in your possession no issues lol

Atleast today isn't being wasted by the GS just sitting and nothing getting done

What about gearbox ? I assume you have the F40 that's rated up to 400Nm
