Roadmaster Needing Work in CT For Sale

I have a 1996 RMW (woodie with the painted part blue) for sale. It has brown interior, leather seats (worn), and both front seats are power. The car is from down south and has no rust on it. The body is perfect aside from a small indent/ding on the passenger front fender.

The transmission had started to make a strange noise and I was given two different opinions on it. The first transmission shop told me it needed a transmission, but then two other transmission shops who I'd described it to told me it sounded like it didn't need one and just needed a small part, although I don't remember the name of the part. So it's tough to tell whether the first shop or the other two were correct.

In the meantime, I didn't drive the car for about three months, and made sure to start it every week and everything was running fine each time I started it. However, today it stalled and so we assumed it had run out of gas, put a few gallons in, but then it wouldn't stay running and blows out black smoke.

If anyone is interested in this car at a low price who knows how to fix it, please feel free to message me. I don't want to have it fixed for myself because I am buying a truck instead to tow a trailer with and am moving on from the Roadmaster.

The engine in this car has been absolutely excellent - it runs beautifully and I never had a problem with it. I had the waterpump replaced when I initially had bought it.

I am hoping someone is interested it in a whole car since the body is good. If not, regretfully I'll be willing to part it out, although I hate to eliminate a Roadmaster! 🙂

Because I have a couple of kids to take care of and I'm in poor health I've decided to sell my beloved roadmaster wagon. Because of some minor electrical issues detailed in http://www.buickforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30220 I'll let her go for $4500 to anyone on this forum. I also have a 95 sedan parts car with a rebuilt engine and A/C system I'll let go for another $500 if you buy the wagon. You can have the parts sedan for 650 otherwise. It would actually be a driveable car with a new set of tires, new door, fuel pump, and blend door actuator (150 bucks and some hand skin). It has the towing package with the stupid airbag suspension but I'd just yank it apart and toss it into something. I got her put in my name but never fully registered because I never tried to get her smogged. I could probably put her on Non-Op and get the title but I have been bedridden from pain and VA malpractice. I have the certificate that says all I need is the smog to register her here and the Wagon has a clean pink slip.
I'm a disabled vet and I've gotten too sick to keep up with the cars AND the kids. I'll let her go at this low price to someone who will appreciate her. The sedan can go to whoever, but I prefer to give people here dibs.
Contact me via PM if you want pics/info. I'll be down in the san diego area this weekend if anyone there is interested, otherwise I am in Big Bear, CA. If I can I'll take pictures and video so you can hear the engine running and the such.
