Rust in the rear wheel frame

When you finish, I believe you will find this as very rewarding.

The rust had developed holes in the trunk. I used some tin to patch the holes.
I found the tin in the garbage of a renovation of a Restaurant . It was not used, but it was for the exhust of the stoves.
You can see the new tin in the back of the rust.

My 2004 started down that path. I had the situation whereby the fuel tank filler neck passed through the wheel well. A plastic plate is fitted from the factory in an attempt to seal the pass through. It does a pour job. I removed the plate and discovered about a quart of mud laying on the frame just in front of the spring cup. I broke through with finger pressure!
I had a welder guy fix it. Kinda costly ~ 1k$ since he removed the gas tank so as not to temo fate while welding.
