Service Battery Charging System

Any luck with all this? My car is now doing the same. 2014 Buick Verano. Just replaced battery, alternator, and starter. All electronics work, car only makes the click noise when attempting to start.

Any answers on this? 2015 Verano. I haven't swapped any parts because everything test fine (battery, alternator, starter). It works fine with a jumpstart but the battery is just not holding the charge overnight. Please assist. TY

No charge overnight, makes me believe that something is staying on after the car has been turned off. Any aftermarket parts or accessories?

I just reconnected my battery after removing it to replace some parts under the hood. The engine won't start now, and I'm getting a "Service Battery Charging System" message on the instrument cluster screen. When I turn the key to start, I just hear a click and nothing else. No OBDii codes are appearing on my code scanner.View attachment 16206
The car was running fine and starting no problem before I removed the battery. But now I don't know what to do. The manual says to take it to a dealer to have it serviced, but since it won't start, that's impossible aside from having it towed. I've already tried jump-starting it with another vehicle.
Electronics are working properly (radio, lights, door locks, etc.).
Does anyone know what I can do to get it running again?

it says to remove other vehicle key fobs, after market LED lights & some charging ports etc that can interfere with the transmitter so I did & it started but how can that make it not start?

You stated a list of things and then say you did it?
What did you do?
What is the problem with your car?
This thread has nothing to with FOBs.

I am having this issue with a 2014 Buick Verano as well. Replaced battery like 8 months ago. Mine wasnt even making the click noise. Pulled into a truck stop, got a burger, got back in my car and drove to the gas pump less than a 100 yards away. Then it just wouldnt start. Nothing. No click. Let go of the key and everything powers up. Got stuck there for hours waiting on a tow when it just suddenly came back to life. Got it home, started it up and shut it down several times in a row. Broke down again a few days later. Had it towed to local garage. Had the starter replaced and it worked great for a week. Broke down again. This time I get the click but same stuff. I get the click and then nothing, let go of the key and everything in the car powers on except the engine. Sometimes I get a service battery charging system. Had it towed to a dealership. They said my entire fuse block melted. How does that even happen. Never once had an issue with the car.

I am having a problem with car not even starting now. I use to be able to jump it off and it run off the battery but never charge the battery now I can’t even jump off the car. It’s a 2014 Buick Verano. Any suggest on what it could be? I haven’t changed the battery or any other parts because the battery tested fine and so did the alternator and starter.

Just had my blinker switch from standard to led and they're blinking awfully fast so I bought the flasher for led fuse adapter, but now I'm having a problem finding the turning signal fuse and where is located at? Can anybody please help me.. if possible show a picture.

probably too late to mention this but did you be sure to hook up the little black plastic part on the side of the battery that allows this particular car & battery system to vent? You need to remove the little black L looking thing from the old battery usually and install it into the new one.

same by i have a 2011 Buick Regal

I'm a bit late to this party, but I have had a recent issue on my Buick Verano that matches all these. So, I kept getting a check engine light and my battery was always going dead after a few days. So I just assumed I needed a new battery. Replaced the battery and everything was fine for about a week or so, keep in mind I have a 2013 Buick Verano and I drive when I need to so this car only has 50,000 original miles. This past Friday I went to leave work and my car wouldn't start. Had my boss jump me so I got my car home (only a 2 minute drive). The check engine light had returned so I bought a code reader and the next day I did my own diagnostics thinking it was the alternator. Turns out it wasn't. The check engine light was due to a camshaft actuator that controls intake and exhaust and was a $20 fix doing it myself. My other issue turned out to be a fuse that controls the service battery charging system that according to Google research works in line with the alternator. So I replaced the fuse. Total cost of repairs was under $40. My car is now back and running with zero signs of problems, the check engine light has gone off, and even my car seems to be more in time than it was previously. I hope this helps someone in the future.

I had a very similar problem. My alternator went out an hour from home. I made it 40 miles before I had to shut it down. I towed it home and replaced the alternator, but no start. Just a single click.

The problem turned out to be a popped fuse in the battery fuse kit between the positive battery terminal and the positive lead to the starter. To test it, I removed the positive starter cable and attached it to the other post to bypass the fuse. The car started immediately.

I ordered a battery new fuse kit from Amazon for $20, which will do the trick.
