Sometime Cruise won't resume or set 2022 Buick Encore GX Select

Our car is into the selling dealer to check to see if it warrants the harness/pedal repair . Same story as the other dealer - if they don't find a problem they will have to charge us $120 ?????????? . there is a problem -since we purchased it !!!!!!!!!! . My wife said they seemed to imply , if we had spent more and purchased a Cadillac , we would't have a problem , so I guess a $40,000 car isn't expensive enough to get one that works . What a network of idiots , sarcastic , could care less bunch . We will see what happens . I don't think we have a lemon law in Canada .
Good luck with yours.

Most dealers will charge a diagnostic fee if the problem isn't covered under warranty or if there is no issue. The fact they cannot find or diagnose the problem doesn't indicate the problem doesn't exist. Intermittant issues can be difficult but I'd argue it's a known issue, it's real and should not charge simply because they can't solve it.

Hi Everyone,

I got my pedal assembly replaced and everything is working great!

I would recommend that you lift the brake pedal with your foot as a temporary solution while you wait for the part to arrive at your local dealership.

It worked for me every time!

Bringing this back from the dead, but completely forgot about it a while ago.

For ours, replacing the pedal wasn't enough. They had to replace the wire harness that connected to the brake pedal assembly, since it was a fault in the connector itself.

Once they replaced that (which involved the entire dash and interior up front coming out in the process) back in October, we haven't had an issue since.

Our dealer was worthless though and ticked me off enough after sticking us in turds of rentals (one was an 08 Acadia with 200k miles and a slipping transmission) that we filed a lemon law suit against GM. Ended up opting for a cash and keep settlement out of the deal.

We took it to the dealer , we bought it from and left it for 3 days , and they put in a brake position sensor and a slip that held the brake master assembly ball in the brake pedal assembly in November 2022. They said they would replace the pedal assembly if the problem surfaced again ( the techlink memo came out 3 days after that attempt). The problem occured again , this April 2023 , and I called a dealer much closer to us , and told them about the techlink article , and they ordered and replaced the pedal assembly after checking the problem out , it's worked fine since .
Finally after over a year after buying it , it appears fixed , how many lemon law suit files was there needed , for them to address the problem?
We have called GM about the backup sensor refit and they didn't seem to know anything about it. They said call the selling dealer . It's listed in our data sheet for the car , as a nc retrofit . The dealer said there is no estimated eta , no parts yet or service bulletins. I guess GM hopes we forget about it.
The dealer who fixed it , are the number one customer service rated dealer in our province . What a difference in their attitude , they dropped us off and picked us up at a mall , and an appointment location , with no complaints like - you didn't buy it from us , etc.
We will be contacting them for sure , if we want another vehicle.
I see the Bolt Ev is going the be discontinued , so they can make some sort of Equinox Ev using batteries sourced from South Korea , instead of using LG batteries , which was in the Bolt that was 100% recalled. All the Bolts we pre-sold , with a down payment , kept at the dealers , with defective batteries , and couldn't be tried out or taken ownership of until the batteries were replaced , we waited over 8 months to try one out , and then got the Encore GX . Lets see if all cars sold are EV , in 2025 . They won't meet the demand by the looks of it.
