Spare tire subwoofer?

It's producing a reversed image of the sound around it. You're not going to 'hear' it, it's noise cancelling...

I have a 2025 encore gx st and the dealership is
checking to see why it is not producing sound. Speakers need to produce sound to be part of the noise cancelling system.
This is how ANC works.

In order to create anti-noise, headphones must constantly monitor and sample ambient noise using tiny built-in microphones. They “listen” to the ambient noise around you, and then the onboard electronics take it from there. In addition to your music, the headphones create a sound that is exactly opposite to that sound wave to cancel it out so that all you should hear is the music coming from your headphones—and not anything going on outside.

This science applies to all speakers that are part of a ANC system. So the subwoofer under the spare tire needs to produce sound. It is a speaker not a microphone. I am getting my Encore GX ST subwoofer replaced. It is not producing sound. The speaker come is not moving which means it is not working. All speaker cones move when producing sound.
