Suddenly navigation in down, SD card not read.

I had this error, which nobody had ever seen before:

Not that the SD card was missing, but just "SD card." Does that mean there is an SD card? That there isn't? That there should be a different one? Who knows?

It turns out my reader was bad, but they replaced that and the system remained buggered, so they're still working on it (entering week 3).

If they can't fix this time, it I'm just going to live without navigation and use my phone instead. It's just too frustrating and apparently too much to ask that a $40,000 car work correctly. I deal in old cars, so I expect them to be crap. I don't expect new cars to be crap, yet here we are.

Exactly. I have the same issue right now. The SD card is "missing". So now I can't connect my iPhone. Buick needs to setup up and cure these glitches. We can't be the only owners who are experiencing these problems...

The only time I had an SD problem was after I was plugging and/or unplugging the two USB ports. Don’t know why as I did not touch the SD card. All I did to fix was to pop SD up, then push back in.

As for Navi screen. I tried the method listed earlier, but no luck.
Whenever my Navi does not load, I do one of two things.

1. if I don’t need it, I just leave it off as I know it will load at next start.

2. if I want it, I shut engine off. I don’t bother getting out. Open and close door. Wait for overhead lamps to go off. About 20 or 30 seconds. Wait a total of one minute. Remember I’m still sitting inside. Then open and close door again. Restart car and Navi reloads. (All this takes is an additional one minute of my time).
I don’t want dealer to mess with it as everything else works. 😱😇

Navigation was working on my way to work. Started TourX after work, No navigation. It could not Load the SD Card. I fiddled with it to make sure it was inserted. What does the little white switch do on the side of the SD card.?
I tried both positions, nada.
Anyone else have the navigation head south?
I called dealer and asked if they could mail a new card to try.
Answer, No we will not do that, make an appointment.
Remainder of infotainment, etc. seems to work . Not tried Android Auto.
A few days ago, it lost all radio presets?
Car may have tens of thousands more computer power than the Apollo moon missions, but as far as reliability goes, not so sure.

I also just had this same issue today. I did notice that my phone was not charging and my USB stick with mp3 files did not show up. I'm guessing that the sd reader/usb/aux combo box somehow lost power. Next trip in the car everything worked fine. I am on the latest software 22.10 as well

I just had this same experience today. Never had much of an issue before.

I had to replace my USB cable today and the new one didn't seem to have a solid connection, the smallest wiggle it would drop android auto. After 2-3 times of dropping it didn't come back (android auto and charging was gone) and NAV was gone as well. Hopefully it comes back when it try to drive again. I am going to try another/different cable to see if I have the connection issues.
