The Ultimate Buick Regal Is Discontinued Discussion

Guess I gotta figure out how to get one from China? (no). Buy out my 2019 TourX lease? (I don't know about that).

Damn, I really like this AWD wagon
At the end of the lease, GM is going to have an orphan vehicle on its hands to sell, and one that didn't sell well when new. You might be able to negotiate getting it for a great price at the end of the lease.

Now to find out who will import/sell Opels.

If I could not find the discounted TourX of my liking and had to move now...it would likely be a Giulia TI Sport or Genesis G70. Or...Tesla M3 if I were to take an electric plunge.

I'm waiting to see the specs on the Genesis GX70 CUV based on the G70 sedan. If it has less than 6 in ground clearance RWD with AWD optional, I don't care what Genesis says - IT'S A WAGON, BABY!

So who is going to start the GS & TourX registry for our now rare cars? Anyone have the production break down for the Year and Model?
Are there any 2020 Regals in the USA?

It will be a great time to buy up inventory 20 Cents on the dollar!

That's a bummer. Parts are already an issue.

I don't think the parts issues will be affected either positive or negative by this. Parts are already difficult to come by since Opel is owned by PSA--even when the Regal is rebadged as a Buick...

Find someone who is in active duty and is currently stationing in Europe maybe a place to start.
That way, they can legally import their "personal vehicle" back in the US.

This is pretty sad honestly. I'm not an SUV guy or Trucks .. I really like cars 🙁. My wife has an Enclave and loves it, but I like cars. I have to say, seeing the Opel insignias in that article I really, really like it. I know many have posted on how to get them and swap them out ... but i may need more research for a non-mechanical dork computer nerd like me ... would be nice to swap them but not sure I can do it. Hopefully not to many of us run into parts problems as we head into the next few years of our Regals and TourX

If someone is being stationed in Europe, they should be taking advantage of it. Buy a nice F150/Silverado/Ram sell it over there and buy a unique European sportscar and bring it back. Profit on both ends.

Yep along with Chevy Volt, Chevy Impala, Chevy Cruze and Cruze hatchback, Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac XTS, Cadillac CT6, plus Ford Fiesta, Focus, C-Max, Fusion and Taurus, Nissan Juke, Alfa 4C and Volkswagen Beetle.

All instant classic by their current owners!

Not sure about the laws in EU for bringing our cars there.
It would be a sight to see with a double cab long bed 2500 in Paris! 🤣

I was stationed in Italy for three years a few years ago. I tried to do something like that, as it was pretty common years ago. Can't be done anymore. I wanted to bring back a Ducati motorcycle. I even had a way to ship it back to the US for free. First, as a "tourist" you are not allowed to buy a vehicle in Italy. So I was at the Ducati factory talking to the reps about buying anywhere in Euro to ship back. There are even separate assembly lines in the factory for US and other location bikes. New emission laws prevent any cross selling or importing because cross sold vehicles won't meet emission regs.
