Hello thanks for reading.

I need help with my 98 Buick century v6 3.1 engine approximately 150xxx miles on her.

First off, i had the inevitable lower intake gasket leak.. I had a friend replace it for me but he did a horrible job to say the least(he didn't torque anything!)

When starting the car up after he finished it seemed fine but there was hardly any gas in it so it died of coarse. Filled her up and she wouldn't start. Cranked but no start. I had to put the pedal to the floor and then she started up, but died if i let off the gas. I was told that was because it ran out of fuel and i had to work the air out of the lines by driving it.

At the time, i did not know the intake was still not sealed properly, so i took it out on the roads. The car would shake and almost stall anytime i came to a stop. When i parked it after driving it hard to try to work the air out, there were large clouds of smoke coming from my exhaust. I'd say the smoke was gray to dark gray but someone else says it was more white to light gray smoke. So lets just say gray. I noticed it smelt like gas and also my oil smelt like gas.

I think this means it was burning too rich?? Does it sound like i have a problem with the heads?? Or could the smoke be from something else?

The guy who did my LIM gaskets seemed positive the push rods were put back correctly. He just didn't torque anything.

Also i got the metal felpro gaskets.. can they be reused?

If anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it. I'm a newbie so I'm sorry if none of this makes sense.
Thank you.
