Buick Ownership
2002 Buick Lesabre limited
In my 2000 Buick lesabre after the transmission is warmed up it shifts hard in all gears. This just started yesterday.
Previously i had shuttering issues that wet away after changing mounts. It has 104000 miles on it. Course of action?

There's only 4 small bolts holding the accumulator in. The rest is covered in the first video that I sent. You CAN do this. 😉 👍

I have to have a shop install the shift kit, my work space is a sloped driveway with mud and 3/4 road base and i dont feel comfortable touching transmissions. I'll do just about anything else but i dont touch transmissions. Except oil and filter change.

There are about two or three posts missing from this thread. Including the video. Can i get the maker and part number again for the shift kit. I dont know why someone woukd remove a harmless post.?

I had to go to main menu and bring up post now i can see all of the posts that i thought were missing

Glad you found it. As long as you can clear a small work space on your kitchen table you can accomplish the replacement of the springs and spacers in the accumulator unit.
My review on Amazon is titled "JUST DO IT". The positive reviews far outweigh the few negative ones.

Be sure to re-use your original pan gasket as the cork ones are very troublesome to line up. The original one can be re-used with great results. You just have to observe the proper sequence of tightening the bolts. It is so much nicer to have a drain plug for future maintenance.

I just installed a TransGO shift kit and it still shifts hard into OD after trans is warm

It may be time to get a professional scan that would include the transmission just to narrow down the area of the problem. Pricey but so are getting repairs that may resolve the issue.

accumulators soften shifts. are the pipes to them sealed and not leaky? it may have to command full pressure if the circuit is not working right

well they felt pretty tight except for the one that has a rubber hose attached to it it was a little loose but how do you attain a good seal in the pipes ?

I’ll get it it scanned and if it’s just a solenoid I can easily replace that . I think

Ok i installed the shift kit but once and a while I still get a hard shift going into OD so I’ll have to have it scanned and see what’s up but instal was easier than I thought it would be .

Did you disconnect the battery? Give it a try to reset the shift delay values in the TCM. Or clear the PO1811 code with a scanner.

How long does the battery need to be disconnected to reset the shift delay values ?

Disconnect the negative battery terminal, then key the ignition to "Start" and hold it there for a few seconds to drain any residual electricity in the system. Then let it sit for 30 min.

I didn’t know that my 2000 recorded trans codes 😳
P for powertain codes
2006 saw gm have transmission modules which then had their own codes. presumably a T??? either way, your scan tool should see all transmission codes it may only say something like manufacturer specific if its a cheap one but displa a code you google
