Replaced pads in the Brembo's at 55k miles. Was impressed to find only one pad {outside left} was worn to the groove.
Did not need rotors either, since there's no vibration.

Replaced the battery. This time I went with the EverStart MAXX from Walmart $139.

I'm gonna take my car over and have the Battery Checked.
Went to Home Depot about a week ago to pick up some
Top Soil.
When I got back in the car to leave, the Touchscreen was Black.
I turned off the car and restarted, Still Black.
The Radio works, but the Radio Controls underneath the
touchscreen don't work .
I still have use of the Steering Wheel Controls, so I can change
the Preset Stations and also adjust the volume, but that's it!
No Back Up Camera, Although Park Assist still works (it Beeps).
No CD Player, No USB, etc...

I disconnected both Battery Cables for half an hour or so.
It didn't work, still have a Black Screen.

I did visually check all the Fuses that had to do with the Radio
and Touchscreen, nothing blown that I can see.
I do have a Test Light to check the fuses (going to check all fuses),
just been too hot the last few days.

The Voltage on the Information Screen shows 14.4v, pretty normal.
But it won't hurt to have my battery check, it is 4-5 years old now.

Really hoping it's something simple and I don't have to tear apart
the Dash again!

I checked everything I could think of as to why my Touchscreen/Radio Controls
wasn't working.
I Disconnected the Battery for 2 hours the other day, replaced all the fuses one
at a time, nothing worked.
I did take the car over and had the battery checked, they said it was in A+ condition.
I removed the Backup Camera Fuse instead of disconnecting the Backup Camera,
just too much work to disconnect the camera, still didn't work.

I Checked all of the Electrical Devices in the car to make sure they still worked (Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Power Sunroof, Power Mirrors, Heat, AC, Garage Door
Opener, USB, Cigarette Lighters, Cruise Control, Park Assist, Traction Control, Electronic Parking Brake, All Lights, Trunk release, etc...); everything worked except the Touchscreen/Radio Controls, CD Player, Bluetooth .

I got out my Old 2.0 HMI and Radio Module.
I tore apart the Dash and Replaced the 2.5 HMI with the 2.0 HMI and Voila, the
touchscreen worked, I'm Lucky I didn't sell the 2.0 HMI and Radio Module on Ebay.
There goes my Car Play/Android Auto Upgrade, as the 2.0 HMI doesn't support
Car Play/Android Auto.
Too expensive to Replace that HMI again. last time it was almost $1000 and I
did all the work installing it (not a shop).

Got this 2012 GS and the exhaust was already modified, Borla resonator and rear mufflers deleted. I didn’t like the way it sounded so I added the y pipe and mufflers from Magnaflow kit for the non-GS cars and switched out the rear bumper from a CXL

Added a Wolfbox G930 dash cam mirror with rear camera to my '12 T yesterday. Installation was pretty easy, took me about 3 hours total. Running and hiding the wires was simple, the A-pillar cover just pops off and the lower doorsill trim came up easy enough to run the wire for the rear camera. Power wiring was straight to the fuse box using fuse taps so there's no exposed wiring anywhere. I got the mount that completely replaces the stock rearview mirror and I did have to enlarge the cutout on the square plastic cover above the mirror since the new mount sits closer to the windshield but no other irreversible change was necessary.

The biggest pain was getting the camera wire though to mount the rear camera above the license tag. I don't think he's around here anymore but trevgtp's 2015 writeup about how he did it and where to pass the wire through was a big help. Tapping into the backup light wire to trigger the mirror as a backup camera when in reverse was not a problem.

Total cost for the whole setup, including the mount and a wiring kit to allow parked monitoring, was just under $100 on eBay after a 20% discount Father's Day coupon (wolfbox_tech was the vendor). Pretty cheap way to get the security of a barely noticeable dash cam and the added bonus of a backup camera without having to mess with any of the stock electronics.

Hello All, Coil failure at 95 mph on 405 Fwy replaced with ZZPs version and so far very happy with performance BUT have the other 3 good coils in trunk with tools for a roadside repair just in case. Mileage 75,300 running on IPF tune since 2014

I Ordered a Replacement 2.5 HMI for my Regal yesterday.
I'll be so glad to have Car Play back.
Should have the New HMI within two weeks (hopefully).

White Automotive and Media Services would only sell me the
Kit, not just the HMI programmed to my VIN.
It was going to cost me way too much.
I ended up contacting MVI and they are selling me just the HMI
programmed for my VIN.

My only other option would have been aftermarket.
I'm not opposed to Aftermarket, but in my area you're just
asking for someone to come and steal it!
They won't mess with the OEM Units!

Ordered plugs and coils the other day, and (now) a rear wheel bearing, after the passenger rear bearing started making noise 2 days ago. I'm going to try to take on the wheel bearing myself, as it doesn't seem too difficult, apart from getting the old bearing off. If anyone has any suggestions or tips, I'm all ears.

I replaced all 4 plugs and coils just now. It definitely needed it, even though Carfax says they were replaced before.

RockAuto part numbers are as follows, in case anyone needs it. They ended up being a tad more than $100, including shipping.

I took care of my Coil Packs and Plugs last year.
I picked up a set of MSD Blaster Coil Packs at Holley for under $100.
I can't remember where I got the Plugs at, but they were AC Delco.
If I should ever need to replace the Plugs again, I'll just go to
a local Napa Store, just too many counterfeit plugs out there now.

My 2.5 HMI did come today, haven't even had time to open the box yet.
Hopefully, I can get it installed tomorrow?

Went out this morning and installed my New 2.5 HMI Module that I purchased from MVI.
Setup was quick and easy, took about 15-20 minutes, then another 5 minutes (or less)
to sync my phone with the new system. Works great, I have Apple Car Play again!
I did lose the Factory Navigation this time around, I opted out and saved myself $200.
I have Apple Maps, Google Maps and Waze, who needs the Factory Navigation!

I did watch one years ago, may have been on a Chevy Malibu.
The Chevy Malibu is very similar to the Regal.

I watched several videos. But the hub and bearing are just joined to the heat shield, which is joined to whatever is behind it by rust. I tried heat, an air hammer, just whacking the hub, but to no avail. I don't have the tools to do it.

I think that guy said he got that tool at an automotive store.
You Rent it, but once you've returned it you get all your money back.
That just assures that you're going to bring it back!
Or, you could own your own: Slide Hammer Puller Set Wheel Bearing Removal Tool
for around $85.

That happens to a lot of Car parts, they rust together!
I'd spray it with a little Penetrating oil, let it set for a while and then try it.
That Tool (Slide Hammer) would probably help!

My shop worked on my car today, and successfully replaced my wheel bearing. Happy days!

Or so I thought. Upon driving the car home, I noticed that the other rear bearing is making noise. 🤣 Oh well, I'll just order another one, and have them put it on.

I swear, if the front ones go out now too...... 😅

I just got done replacing all 4 Wheel Bearings, Brake Rotors and Pads this weekend.
My Wheel Bearings never made any noise, but they made the car handle sloppy.
Bumps made it feel bouncy and the steering was all over the place.
The ABS and Traction Control Lights came on and stayed on while the car was running.
I also had a Message Come up saying something about "Stabilink".
You could shut that message off by pushing the Checkmark on the steering wheel.

I purchased a GearWrench Slide Hammer for about $85 at Home Depot to help get the
old wheel bearing out, but the Slide Hammer never came out of its case.
Instead, I used a 4lb Sledgehammer.
The Rear Wheel Bearings came out fairly easy, had to work a little harder on the Fronts
as the Axle Shafts are in those Wheel Bearings.

I tried ordering my Wheel Bearings on Rock Auto (AC Delco Gold), total cost shipped was $506
But my order was rejected, I tried again, and I was again rejected, the order Failed.
Finally figured it out the next day, I have a Limit on my Credit Card and I was $6 over that limit!
I ended up buying my Wheel Bearings on Ebay, 2 x Timken Wheel Bearings for $138.99.
Ordered 2 sets of 2 for $297.46 shipped. These were the same Timken Wheel Bearings that
Rock Auto was selling for $129.99 each!

I purchased my Rotors and Pads at NAPA, Premium Rotors and SilentGuard Pads for just under $300.

I did get to purchase New Tools for this project:
1/2" Husky Torque Wrench $95 (Home Depot)
GearWrench Slide Hammer $85 (Home Depot)
Big Red Brake Caliper Kit $18.08 (Home Depot)
Hyper Tough 4lb. Sledgehammer $11 (Wal-Mart)

I heard something rattling under the hood and it turned out to be the lower radiator supports. Seems like a pretty flimsy design; the radiator, steering cooler, a/c condenser, cooling fans, and power steering reservoir are all supported by two little aluminum brackets. Anyone else have this issue?

The radiator falling out of the car was an issue but more importantly I finished the illuminated logo in the front grill while I had the bumper off…
