Buick announced the release of their new 2017 Encore, making it the number one pick in small SUVs in the United States. The new Encore has a more detailed design and the latest technology in connectivity including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.  This technology is supported by a next-generation Intellilink system with an 8-inch diagonal color touch screen that highlights the vehicle’s roster.

Drivers will enjoy the convenience of the keyless entry and push-button start from the exterior. Once entering the vehicle, they’ll discover a new top-of-the-line interior with visual enhancements and refinements never offered before.

First introduced in 2013, the Encore rapidly set its own unique standards with premium features only originally associated with larger luxury SUVs but offering greater mobility control. It rapidly rose to the top ranks in the small SUV market throughout 2014 and 2015.

Encore quickly became the vehicle of choice in North America in 2015, attributing to more than a third of Buick’s overall sales. Sales were up 34% for the first two months of 2016, extending a year over year sales streak reaching to 26 months.

The Buick Encore is the most sought after small SUV, remaining the number one choice for those looking for premium features, dependability and an exceptionally timeless design. Duncan Aldred, VP of Buick Sales, Service and Marketing – “In a rapidly evolving segment, the Encore continues to lead with smart, purposeful updates and a new level of technology-infused elegance and refinement.”

SUVs are accountable for approximately 60% of all Buick sales which is up from 34% before the introduction of the 2007 Enclave. Starting this summer, along with the Encore and Enclave, the arrival of the Envison will make up the market’s three most popular models.

Customers are looking forward to Buick’s new compact SUV arriving at showrooms around the country. It’ll go on sale this fall with five exceptional levels: Encore (15B), Encore Sport Touring (1SH), Encore Leather (1SL) and Encore Premium (1SN). These models are available with front-wheel drive (standard) and optional all-wheel drive.

The Encore is the fourth all new and significantly updated model in 2016 joining the Cascada convertible, the Envision compact SUV and LaCrosse sedan.

Redefining Sculptured Beauty:

With all new designs, including sculptured surfaces and elegant lines, Buick will stand out from other manufacturers. New designs features include a winged grille with Buick’s new tri-color insignia, new front headlights and rear LED signature tail lights. Along with a new contemporary appeal, the Encore offers an exceptional visual flow around the entire vehicle. Upgraded models will come with full LED headlights which will provide excellent, clear lighting for night driving.

Sporting features found on the award-winning Avenir and Avista concepts are now embracing Buick’s modern design theme for this redesign compact crossover. Holt Ware, a design director of Buick Exteriors stated “The Encore is a crossover known for its road presence – the appearance is sleek, muscular and modern.”

Adding to its exceptional styling, there’s a new chrome exhaust outlet, exterior colored heated outside mirrors and a new 18-inch wheel design. It comes in three luxurious exterior colors: Ebony Twilight Metallic, Black Cherry Metallic and White Frost Metallic.

A New Premium Interior:
As always, Buick’s interior is a perfectly quiet experience for passengers. The 2017 Encore provides a superior interior design paying close attention to material choices, placement and subtle details of bright accents and contrasting stitching.

The 2017 Encore features an upgraded, newly designed instrument panel that flows across the interior and provides a new gauge array with a 4.2 inch diagonal color information center. The new center blends with the instrument panel for more instinctive access to the new interface and frameless 8-inch color touchscreen.

IntellilLink is designed to support the latest technologies along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility along with OnStar 4G LTE with a Wi-Fi hotspot; which is now standard on all Buick’s U.S. Models. Encore’s 4G LTE connection gives passengers the ability to connect up to seven different devices for high-speed wireless Internet.

Inside the Encore is a perfect representation of Buick’s new styling direction with a cabin that’s sophisticated in both look and feel with precise execution. Another design director of Buick Interiors, Liz Wetzel stated “The instrument panel and center stack forms are artfully sculpted while offering an effortless interface with the infotainment technologies.”

Cascada Launch Leads Buick’s Perception-Shifting 2016

Cascada Convertible attracts new customers ahead of three more launches

05.18.2016 – Over the past three years Buick‘s global sales have grown well beyond expectations.  Their sales have already increased astronomically through 2016.  In the month of April Buick experienced an all time high in sales and new customer growth from competitor brands thanks to the Cascada.

The two leading models are the new Cascada and the ever popular Encore reaching pinnacle sales within the Buick community.  Between January and April of 2016, more than 35,000 new customers have switched to Buick.

Cascada has outperformed in the month of April with 1,090 sales and over 2,487 between January and April 2016.  The percentage of Cascada buyers within the first three months of the year have hit an all time high of 64%.  This percentage comes from new Buick buyers who’ve traded in their vehicles made by other manufacturers, including Toyota, Honda and Audi.

Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick Global Sales, Service and Marketing, said “The lasting impact of the Cascada will be a change in perception that only a sexy, sleek convertible can provide.”  He believes these figures are from a total change in concept, attracting buyers to the country’s largest convertible markets.  He’s shown their highest sales growth comes out of Texas, California, New York, Florida and New Jersey.  These states are also an important factor in Buick’s continued growth and success.

Cascada is one of four new models arriving in U.S showrooms and just the first of two components for Buick.

Envision is now at dealerships and promising a new model for 2017 with a starting price of $34,990.  Among other progressive features, the Envision offers the largest list of standard safety while pricing $1,300 less than the Acura RDX and $6,000 less than the Audi Q5.

Encore has reached more than 57% of sales from customers coming from competitive manufacturers.  These customers have cited quality, value and exceptional exterior design as the most popular reasons for their change of heart.  Due to their competitive pricing, the Encore now represents over 40% of Buick sales.

While other manufacturers are rolling out their line of smaller SUVs, Buick has already prepared for their new 2017 Encore to be released later on this year.  This model will offer a more sophisticated design while providing the leading features that customers want most.  Some of these features include: Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and 4G LTE Wi-Fi for as many as seven devices.

Among Buick’s customer strategies, they’re offering the refinement and technology that people are expecting from a luxury automobile with a price tag similar to their competitors.  Due to their incredible strategies, Buick has won the Kelley Blue Book’s “Best Value Luxury Brand” over the past four years.

Duncan Aldred believes the release of their four newest models will have customers defining what the brand is about today – not yesterday.  The 2017 Encore will be released alongside the new LaCrosse sedan, the Cascada and the Envision.  It seems customer’s misconceptions are fading away while sales are on the rise.

Customers are becoming more demanding in what they expect from vehicle manufacturers.  With the soaring price of vehicles, consumers are requiring higher quality, better design and feature packages to attract their business.  Buick is on the cutting edge of providing buyers exactly what they’re looking for.  Rolling out their 2017 fleet later on this year might very well place them in a position that could make them a top manufacturer globally.

Buick’s U.S. Crossover Sales Rise 22 Percent in May

2015 Buick Encore

Encore small SUV has best May ever; brand sales post best May since 2005

DETROIT – 06.02.2015 – Buick U.S. sales increased in May compared to a year ago on the strength of the brand’s crossover models. Buick Enclave deliveries were up 23 percent and the Encore was up 21 percent, for its 17th consecutive year-over-year sales increase.

Buick has sold more Encores this year than any other model, accounting for 30 percent of the brand’s retail sales.

“Buick was among the first to capitalize on the rapidly growing small SUV segment with the Encore, which appeals to buyers seeking luxurious features in a smaller and more efficient package,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president, Buick. “The Buick Encore has performed extremely well in its segment and we expect it will continue to do so.”

In its debut year, Encore scored at the top of its segment in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study – practically unheard of for a new model. In a recent owner survey, 96 percent said they were either satisfied or completely satisfied with their vehicle and 95 percent said they would recommend a Buick based on their experience with the Encore.

Autotrader.com recently named Encore one of its 10 Best Cars for Recent College Grads, citing its sleek exterior styling, premium interior, maneuverability, quality and fuel efficiency.

Earlier this year, Buick was the first U.S. automaker in the Top 10 in a popular consumer magazine’s annual ranking of automotive brands. At No. 7, Buick moved ahead of traditionally high-rated automakers such as Honda and BMW. Eighty-three percent of Buick models made it onto the magazine’s recommended list – the most for any brand.
