Need help!!!!

I have a 2015 lacrosse and im trying to find out how to get my google maps navigation voice prompts working with my bluetooth help!!!!

I have a 2013, so what I do may be different from what you have to do, but that said, I do get Google Maps voice prompts through Bluetooth just fine.

First, you must pair your phone with the car. Assuming you've done that, fire up Google Maps on your phone and get to the point where it's providing directions. Then turn your radio on and select "Bluetooth Audio" as your source. You should get the prompts over your radio. I've found that I can also get prompts while listening to Pandora, but not with any other source selection.

Does the 2015 have Android Auto? If so and if you have an Android phone, I understand that you can display the maps as well as hear the prompts. I wish I had that!

Number one for me is poor reliability. As I've chronicled on the forum in the past I've had to be towed twice due to electonic failures in my 2010 CXS. This is unforgiveable to me, I commute 100 miles a day to work in rural central Texas where cell reception is spotty and you are no-kidding stranded if the car fails. This is my main reason for replacing this vehicle next spring which should coincide with the end of the factory warranty.

The glitchy nav system (replace once already), self-opening trunk lid, poor interior storage, mysterious and alarming DIC messages ("Cruise Control Set to 117 MPH" when only going 70 MPH) and so on. You just never know what this car is going to do next... I guess I need more certainty in my daily transportation.

Tduke57, Check your battery. I've been plagued with electronics problems for over two years, had it in the shop 7 or 8 times and spent nearly $2,000 having working parts replaced, only last week to find out my 6 year old battery had two dead cells. Replaced the battery and it is like a new car.

Extremely dim low beams...horrible visibility on dark roads...dangerous even.
Today, dealer raised them a little but he doesn't think it will make much of a difference!!!

It seems like there is an infinite supply of replacement headlight elements available today. You can get brighter ones, or you can get dimmer ones to save electric power.

Only had the car for a week and put 400 miles on it.. Overall, still loving the car but I can already tell I hate the cheap flimsy plastic rear quarter panels. When did they replace metal fenders with plastic?

Ha! or get too close to a heat source. GM cars used to say "Body by Fisher" on the door sills... they now should say "Body by Mattel". 😉

New member here. Sure glad I found this forum.
We have owned our '16 Lacrosse for just over a year. It has been back to a dealer 8 times so far with multiple computer software problems. The software has been reinstalled three times, and the bugs are not all fixed yet. I just wish GM was not selling cars with buggy software.

This is great to hear. Recently my display screen failed to come on once last week when I first turned the car on, along with various random buttons turning on , like the heat warmer, then in 5 minutes,it all returned to normal. Not only was the battery probably on the low side as I wasn't using the car much, but turns out I had one bad cell in the battery and my dealer said when charging it, it would not hold a charge. Now I think the above was all due to the battery. Time will tell. But it kind of makes sense that the electronics in our LaCrosses could act weird of the voltage was not high enough.

You really can't tell they're plastic by looking at them. My right rear tire must have picked up a rock or road debris with less than 100 miles on the car. It caused a chip down to the black plastic in the quarter panel about the size of pencil eraser. (Took two weeks for the dealership to get a bottle of the right touch up paint.) The quarter panels flex with the slightest pressure. ( ie: washing and waxing) Who knows, the plastic quarter panels might actually be a good idea. They're lighter, should be harder to dent than sheet metal, probably easier and cheaper to replace than sheet metal and they'll never rust which could be a big plus if you live near the ocean or where the roads are salted in the winter.

So far the only complaint about my 2017 LaCrosse Premium is, I ordered mine with the 20" wheels and everytime you hit the slightest bump in the road there is a rattle from the right rear of the car. Dealer can't find the problem but told me the engineers a GM are aware of this and are looking into what is causing it. Anyone else having this issue?

Can we assume that the rattle noise isn't from a loose tire tool in the spare tire well of the trunk?

Like H_Charles, I feel like my car is possessed. The electrical system and computer control have baffled several technicians, one with a recent degree in automobile electronics. The check engine light randomly comes on for a month or two and then will go off for a few weeks, usually after a fill up. And it isn't the gas cap or vacuum purge valve, those have been replaced, along with O2 sensors, Mass air flow, filters, etc... The codes will report basically all the car's sensors need to be replaced, along with the cat converter and stabilitrack / ABS system. When I've put a new battery in it or disconnected the battery for 10 minutes, the car runs fine for about 1,000 to 1,500 miles, then the check engine light comes on again. I'm ready to trade it for a Yugo. Do they still make those?
