Cargo fence for tour x.

Just got off the phone with Buick customer service.
Like a he said she said situation now.
Buick said the dealership should look into the matter, while the dealership said GM shall look into the matter.
Do I really need to call up an attorney to get this settle?
Sounds like a class action lawsuit to get back what we paid for.

So what is the deal on the cargo fence, since I thought it was beating a dead horse issue.
It said on your window sticker or a RPO on placard that your car was equipped with cargo fence?

I guess the dealer & GM have to sort out between them which one of them is the horse.

My car has RPO ANY and B26, which stands for cargo management system and Driver Confidence package 1. But the Monroney label did not have anything in regards to the cargo management system.

In other words, GM clearly have either advertised incorrectly (a.k.a. bait & switch), or the vehicle is a mis-build like all of you that has the driver confidence package 1 without the cargo management system.
Either way, the dealer is clearly not the horse.

I got the Cargo Fence in June 2019 when bought 2019 TourX Essence. They claimed error in Buick listing. I provided proof of advertised parts that come with my Cargo Mgt System and online Part#, URL, and description with photo. Dealer agreed (Faulkner Buick GMC in Trevose, PA. They ordered from Buick. Got correct part week later ! Works great.
Really wish Buick did not just announce death of TourX. Great wagon. They claim no demand but they have almost zero dealer stock across U.S. So, how would people buy??? Lies. Selling well as Opel Touring Wagon. And others ARE selling wagons here including Volvo, BMW, Mercedes, Subaru. Keep the TourX !

Do you happen to still have the part numbers?

I patiently waited a few weeks for my dealer to address my missing cargo fence and I finally just bit the bullet and purchased one off of eBay. It cost about $65. Initially I used it but it’s more of an inconvenience than practical.

Pretty sure you can sell it to someone on here. Except maybe the R man, since I think he said he whined enough to get one.

Me too. Didn't get a cargo fence with the 2019 TourX, w DC1 and Cargo Mgt, I got at the end of March 2019, After going thru the good info here, thinking about contacting dealer (after holidays).

But maybe part of reason the fence wasn't included is that the TourX I got has dealer-provided cargo mat that covers the rails anyway? Not sure if I should take the dealer to task, but it sure would be nice to have - if I could get it to play nice with the cargo mat

The mat should not matter.
We paid for the option, we shall get what we paid for.

Good luck with that, dealers have form you probably signed at purchase that the dealer does not owe you anything.
Maybe GM will help, since Buick car customers are something they want to keep buying more cars....
Wait never mind.

IT'll be interesting/annoying as the dealership tries really hard to push me in a SUV or whatever. I wonder who'll have an AWD wagon then, maybe VW? I briefly looked at a Mercedes E5 (AMG?) on line - I'm sure that's a heck of a car, but no way. Same with Volvo, Audi, BMW

I got my car dealership to put it in the paperwork that they still owe me the "Cargo management system". So they will really have to make Buick do their part. Meanwhile, looks like it is time to look into which college pal can help from the inside.

I was going to comment on using 'the old boys network' but given the Buick owners demographics, I thought better of it. 😉

After going back and forth with Buick's customer service (or lack thereof) for almost a whole month, the dealership sent me part number 84322164 instead of the cargo "fence". And Buick could not figure out what is the underfloor storage at all. 👎

I'm guessing the flowers aren't included, but glad you did get something!

For a company that's been around since 1908, you would think that they would have their inter-departmental communications sorted by now ("Hey Fred, what's 'underfloor storage' mean? "I don't know--where does it mention that?" "Our Tour-X sales brochure" "What's a 'Tour-X'?").

Well, I ripped them a new one on the customer service survey.
They may contact me later. If not, I might just go bang some doors over there. 😉

I have to give you credit for sticking with it. Personally I don't bother with stuff unless it is big $, I just won't ever go back to the place that didn't deliver. This is my first Buick or GM for that matter; so far I have not been too impressed with them. Not very likely I will be a repeat customer.

Because they are dealing with someone with severe OCD like a mad dog that just won't let go. 😎
