The Ultimate Buick Regal Is Discontinued Discussion

Subaru ended up extending CVT warranty to 100k miles for free. When I had mr ‘17 I received a letter in mail about it. I had my XT for about 65k miles. My only Mechanical issue was 4 broken windshields and no availability for OEM ones. Common issue as they are very tender. I just never loved the Forester...bad seats and no soul.
Seats would be fine in a dentist office waiting room, just not in anything you would want to rip around a curve. You had an XT. Turbo upgraded brakes and suspension, chassis, etc. . Imagine what a 2.5L NA motor is like! So they have not fixed the windshield issue. One of the reasons my glass coverage has no deductible.

I'm still waiting on my Tour X after a mid-October accident. My body shop only recently received enough of the critical components to START working on the repair, although they have not received everything to complete it yet. I feel very lucky that the other driver in the accident was at fault and my rental has been covered all of this time. If I were at fault, my rental coverage would have ran out a long time ago and I'd still be waiting on my car. If that had been the case, it would definitely have worked out to be cheaper to buy some cheap crapbox car instead of renting. When I do eventually get my car back, I am going to be fearful of fender benders or hit and runs in parking lots that will leave me without my car for half a year while it waits on parts.
Open a customer service ticket with Buick. My 2019 Regal was rear ended in October and the back ordered body panel was shipped to the repair shop months ahead of other people awaiting the same part. It still took longer than 3 months to get the car back but it probably would have dragged on for months.

I went to a dealer today as I was ready to buy a GS next week. He said all Regal production is stopped NOW ! Can anyone else confirm this sad fact. I thought it would run through the summer ?? Thanks,

Not a surprise. I did a search online for within 250 miles of me and there were zero. The 2019 year they sold less than 10,000, so I suspected that "2020" was really the end of 2019 production and just a couple of months of 2020. When they stopped it - it was next to immediate after the announcement. The irony is they still make them in Germany, they just don't waste money shipping them anywhere else outside of Europe..

If you want one..nows the time to move. The inventory is only gonna get more slim.

Cargurus is your friend. It shows 135 2020 GS available NATIONWIDE and around 10 2019s. I'm thinking when they're gone..they're gone.

Thanks Greenme - I looked and you are correct - they did deliver a few this year but it is a very small number, basically 2019 was the last real year of production with a few 2020s made and shipped for a couple of months.

There are only 230 TourX Essence in market Nationwide.

Bingo^^

AcuraT is looking for a GS...but all Regals are getting short on supply and once they are gone....they're gone.

Long time follower, not much of a poster. Enjoyed this thread. Love the Opel(Buick) Insignia TourX!! 😉

So here it goes...I'm in the market for new AWD sedan/wagon, and...

JUST SAW: 2018 Preferred with 300 miles and loaded with all options for $26K sitting on lot...

What do I do? Is it too late to jump in? My heart is saying yes, my mind is saying no... Buick is advertising 2020s: 2020 Buick Regal TourX | Boldly Designed Luxury Wagon

Torn, need your thoughts (and prayers)...Going to test drive it.

Keep in mind you can get 2019 essence fully loaded for 32000 at best. So 2018 with miles on it, will be bit of long shot, yes if they drop it to $23K, then it's a deal.
Also you will take deprecition for 2 years on 2018 model.

What do you guys think I can get them down to?

I'm in New England and its the Rioja Red Metallic, Certified pre-owned (CPO)...

It only has 300 miles on it (has been probably sitting there forever)...

Not many 2019s around in new condition...

I got mine for $30500 from KS. If you are willing to travel you can make a deal.
But even with CPO keep in mind warranty meter is already running since 2018 on this car, you can use it as leverage. $23-24k is best deal for it, irrespective of miles.

26k?
That is at least 3k more than what I would pay.
Like others have said, you can get better deals if you are willing to travel and look for a 2019 instead.

I went to a dealership this week and was told that the Regal is done with production NOW. I was thinking it would be built into the summer. Can anyone else confirm this please ?

My Opinion..26K is too much for a mid trim TourX that's used(even lightly used). Personally I wouldn't even do 23k..but that's me

There are deals to be had on 2019s..both mjoshi and I scored a fully loaded Essence for right at 30k. If you can get 11-12k off MSRP I think that's a heck of a deal for a NEW never titled 2019.

I’ve driven my Sportback around for a year now, and have only spotted two others in town just this week. I think the people who were on the fence might finally be buying them before they’re gone. They really screwed up ending production instead of marketing them more, I absolutely love mine and don’t regret it one bit.
