What did you do to your Regal today?

Issues or just maintaining the car?
It was due to issue. The shop replaced one a few months back since it was faulty. I can tell you at 97,000 miles replacing all 4 woke the Chocolate Metallic Regal Premium up!!!!

Went on YouTube and it seems like a relatively easy procedure for a non-gear head like me. Nice to know it smoothed things out!

Upgraded the front brakes to cross drilled rotors and ceramic pads. Don't mind the wheels, I need to give them a proper detail when I have the time.
I have the same chrome 18's and understand air leaks can develop, according to my local gas station mechanic.. It's currently happening to one of my tires and I just keep adding air. I've had it checked twice for nails, etc. to no avail. Have you experienced air-loss in any of them and if so, how did you fix it?

The cause of those slow leaks is corrosion that can be buffed away with the correct grit pad that an up to date tire guy should be up to speed on!

Funny you mention that. Both my driver's side front and rear leak air, but the front is worse. I pulled both and checked for nails or cracked valve stem, all was normal. While at the shop, I had them check as well, and it didn't yield any results. I may be swapping to another set of wheels in the near future... but I don't know, this is the first set of chrome wheels that have ever grown on me.

There is probably some corrosion along the sealing edge. Cleaning them up with a wire wheel and using tire sealant when the remount the tires should help. Common problem on chrome plated wheels.

A wire wheel would probably not be the correct tool for the job.
My 14 Regal had the chrome 18's and a certain scotch brite pad on an air grinder was always used I guess so as to not damage the wheel rim like a wire wheel might.

The inside of the wheel shouldn’t be harmed. The dealer I go to uses a wire wheel on a drill for the inside of the rims without any issues. And I’ve got the 20” GS wheels. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Guess I'll find out which local tire/wheel shop specializes in this type of repair and take my Regal in for the fix. Thanks.

I remembered that GM actually issued a bulletin about warranty guidelines for this issue.
And no I don't remember where, but maybe!

Took mine in for it's annual Krown rustproofing. It's a little earlier than normal, but they are just getting rolling again after the shut down so it included a wash and wax, tire cleaning and shine, a discount and a can of Krown spray. In Ontario they dump so much salt on the roads that an unprotected vehicle will start to rust almost as soon as it leaves the lot.

This may be the one, a bunch of these floating around but all pretty much the same thing, TSB on wheel repair for rim leak.

Good technical info! Thanks. Now, the trick is getting my GM dealer to provide this service for free while I'm still under my B2B warranty.

Unfortunately there's a lot of TSB out there and understanding that if GM sent notification on each one dealers may be flooded with phantom service problems. On the other side is a wait and see if the owner finds it, then we will service it. It's a where's Waldo on a global scale, but owners can take a look on their own to confirm if they have the problem or at least be mindful of them.

Gave her a good wash this morning before the triple digit heat rolled in. 😅

We've only been in the Mid-Nineties the past 10 days with High Humidity and Dew Point.
Only time you can wash the car is in the early morning while it's still 75°ish.
We haven't had any Rain in about 3 weeks, just a few occasional drops.
We don't see those 3 Digit Temps very often around here, TG.

I have washed my car and my wife's SUV a couple times in the last couple weeks.
But in this kind of weather I don't do quite the job I would normally do.
I wash them, then Dry them, that's about it!

I did give them both a good vacuuming the other day.
I also washed the Windows in mine, can't stand dirty windows or streaks.
Had to do that in the Late Evening (when cooler) Under a Street Light so I
could see any Streaks.

Spent quite a few hours today using Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Quik Clay Kit on my Regal.
I was in the Shade as recommended, but the Wind sure was drying the Ceramic Detailer/Clay
before I could wipe it off with the included Microfiber Cloth.
Finally got it done and it looks great, the Metallic really stands out now!
The picture I posted looks a bit cloudy in the front, it's not cloudy at all (but you can see
the Clouds in the paint).
