Does the ASS still work? These work great without any modifications for Reverse lights. Been couple weeks with them and no issues!

Everything works as normal!Does the ASS still work?
Also, do they stay off after the vehicle is turned off?

Here is the link,So I purchased the attached, same company and bulb fitment, and both lights stayed illuminated while off.
May hunt for some others to see if I can get away with them.
Have a direct link to those You found?
Thanks for that. Just ordered and will see if this works.
These should work just fine! Thanks for that. Just ordered and will see if this works.
Previous bulbs fit and lit very well! But just wouldn’t go off when car was off. Had them in for min. Went to reinstall the halogens and when one halogen loaded, the other LED shut off; I guess the LEDs don’t draw enough power to keep everything in line. Maybe the new ones will? If not, I’ll look for resistors.
They work! They Sure do!!These should work just fine!
It might be possible. Saabs (late ones shared Opel platforms) were highly configurable for around the world with Tech 2 for various lighting and other settings controlled by the BCM. The challenge was finding a tech who was knowledgable or willing to hunt around for settings. All my Saabs except my last 9-5 have had the rear fog lamp standard, we get some bad fog here certain times of the year, I wish more cars had it.I highly suspect it would have to be a hack to get the rear fog activated on a NA vehicle. The code exists, but it does not exist for the vehicle configurations we have here.
Software configs are by VIN, which is homologated for a specific market.
🙂 ...OR you can just toss the adapter and spend some quality time underneath (and to the left of) the glove box. The green/violet wire coming from the black connector on the BCM is the front right turn signal, the blue/white wire coming from the brown connector is the front left. I attached a 2-cond cable to those and tucked it under the plastic door mouldings (hats off to Wlepse & Zaxer for their wiring suggestions).

Next signal needed was the 'high brake' wire which is a violet/white wire tucked-up above the left rear wheel well.

You will still need the 2x 8 ohm 50W to keep the BCM from hyper-flashing the turn signals; and I'll remind you again I've replaced the rear turn signal bulbs with LED's to minimize the current load. Signing off now.
Got these in this week and installed them this afternoon, Took about 10 minutes and works fine! These bulbs seem to work well in my car as well. I haven't been able to test brightness, but the back up camera turns off and there are no errors.
Very good point. My issue is that the factory incandescent bulbs are not bright enough at night when backing up. I'm not sure why the backup lights were not LED from the factory.Aftermarket LED lamps cause so many documented problems on modern vehicles now. From voltage spikes damaging HMI/audio components and battery drain. I wouldn't install them.
BCM isn't designed to work with bulbs that have the wrong internal resistance and circuit protection.
