I think it should work--but before splicing into any existing wire, I'd recommend testing the wire at the connector (body control module for the turn signals, rear hatch connector for the brake signal) for the proper function with an automotive circuit tester (basically a 12V logic probe). I know I had about 3 wires--all with the same colour code--on the rear connector for the 'high' brake line--only one of the was the actual brake circuit. I also replaced the side repeater turn signals with LED units to help reduce the electrical load of adding the rear turn signal LED's to the front turn signal circuit.
Regarding the rear high brake wire, will that single wire service both left and right rear brake lights? I know the front has 2 separate wires, but not the rear. Also, where are the resistors installed along the line?
